Do you think there is a structural flaw in our economy that hods people back from being property owners?
I do.
1) Our Federal Reserve Bank is systematically printing too much money beyond the value of our GDP that devalues the dollar, the money we make today is worthless tomorrow. Using the mortgage amortization table in reverse, (the Rule of 72) you can calculate a mere 3% overprinting of currency will reduce the purchasing power of the dollar to 50 Cents within 24 years.
2) Karl Marx's Progressive Tax, the more you make, the more the government takes, where it is impossible to save enough money to start a small business, grow, and compete with the entrenched corporations.
Has anyone here read Steve Forbes' old book: "The Flat Tax Revolution"?

Why not redistribute the customers to redistribute the wealth? A Flat Tax would do this. It would promote GROWTH of small businesses, which would expand the TAX BASE which would expand the TAX REVENUE. This is the old rule of "Less is More."
A low Flat Tax would be wonderful for real estate developers, especially those new 3-D Printed houses that can put up a new home every 48 hours starting at 550sq feet at $4,000 /building, now raising entire villages in Mexico and Texas. These things are poured with 'lavacrete' which will outlast the pyramids, looking like miniature Frank Lloyd Wright communities. This will revolutionize housing, but states may need to gain revenue from sales taxes instead of property taxes:
