I would defer to my default vote when some big gubmint globalist is running, and choose whatever Libertarian is on the ballot. I've done that 5 times since 1976. I'll let y'all do the math.

But you know that you are wasting your vote, and giving it to whoever wins by default!

I wouldn't vote for someone that has 0 chance.

Actually, it does two things. It tells candidates that they must earn the vote of right leaning Libertarians. Second, there are laws in place that only recognize parties that reach certain levels of support. I don't call that a waste, I call it a protest.
I walked into the voting booth in 2016 not knowing if I was voting for Trump or Johnson. Hillary was never an option. I filled in the oval for Trump. It was the best vote I ever made, as he turned out to be (by far) the most Libertarian President. The man BELIEVES in liberty. That's what globalists hate and liberals don't understand.

Two days before the 2016 election, the polls said Trump had no chance. I'm guessing you voted for him regardless.

Sometimes it's a matter of conscience when you decide to: hold your nose and pick one of the 2 party system candidates that are equally repulsive or choose the one independent candidate who holds values that match your own.

I didn't vote in 2016. I get what you mean though.

I would vote for the guy who cleans the toilets instead of Biden.

At least the toilet cleaner is doing something useful.

WRONG voting for a third party candidate is not wasting your vote and Neither is choosing a write in candidate a waste either. it's a vote against the party system In my case it means one less vote for MrT and perhaps even the incumbent.

In that case it would be the guy who cleans the toilet vs the guy that stains the toilet.
