We need better Republican candidates if that is going to happen.By that I mean look what just happened on the CR that was negotiated by the House Speaker and over 100 Republican House members without any concession to fix our border problem. Speaker Johnson had the ability (if enough Republican congressmen and women would support him) to shut down non-essential portions of the government UNLESS and UNTIL our border problem is fixed. He vowed in November that he would not resort to another continuing resolution, and broke his word. There are too many RINO's in Washington, and the Republican Party leadership supports the MAGA folks in name only. They want establishment candidates that would more aptly be called "Uniparty" candidates.

I agree. The GOP rhinos are some of the barriers, reasons why we could not solve many of our problems. Passing a bill either at the Senate or at the House the GOP' has tough times on many occasions. On the contrary, this 2024 Stop Gap Bill till March 8th has just recently passed both Senate and the House.

At the Senate I agree by not passing the Stop Gap bill. 18 GOP did not approve 5 did not vote among the GOPs. However, 77 of the Senate voted to pass it. 2/3 votes passed at the House. Biden was happy on his spending till March 8the 2024. He just signed the bill. A great political campaign in his favor.
