They could determine if you are eligible to vote and there does not have to be a transaction fee. The current election method is expensive and an ATM method might be, probably would be cheaper.

How does an ATM decide if someone is eligible to vote?

What's wrong with voting in person, with a valid id on election day?

You could always request an absentee ballot as well.

I accept your proposal because in essence ATM voting is not much different than current poll voting. You still must show up in person to vote. You cannot change your mind. Others cannot fill out your ballot for you.

If the bank would give a cash bonus to you for being a good citizen and voting it would encourage a lot of people who otherwise would not bother to vote . The result could be that America would be more fairly represented instead of one third of the country deciding what the other 2/3 wants like what we have now .
