It is interesting that so many are leaving the wonderful blue states (like Connecticut) and moving south. They are retiring and can no longer fund the out of control governments they have elected. The worst part is they move to a better place then vote in the same kind of fools who ruined their beautiful blue states. Also, many Californians retiring to Idaho. I wonder why.

You don't have to be slaves. I do not understand why people complain about the government and will NOT do anything about it. Do some research to find out what you can do. A good place to start is teamlaw.org. I am sure that there are many other places that you can find to learn how not to be a slave to any one.

Cities tend to lean Democratic and rural areas Republican for various reasons, not all economic. Rural areas tend to be lower income than urban ones because its jobs usually pay less. That's a greater factor in income levels than political parties.

In any case, I doubt if poverty levels are adjusted for the lower living costs in the poorer areas. They don't tell the whole story.
