Now They Are Coming After House Plants, It’s All About Control At This Point
By R. Kelly -January 9, 2024
Just when you think the insanity couldn’t get more ridiculous, the left does it again.

That’s right, folks, houseplants are killing the planet.

According to a report from the Washington Post, raising house plants is bad for the environment and contributes to climate change.

“The trucks that transport plants spew carbon emissions, plastic pots and synthetic fertilizers are made from petroleum and the harvesting of soil components like peat can tear up slow-forming habitats,” the article, written by climate solutions reporter Nicolás Rivero, says.

Ricero’s article states that people should only find plants through garden clubs or “local plant swaps” to reduce carbon emissions. He also said that people should only use biodegradable pots.

Bjorn Lomborg, a Danish author and fellow at Stanford’s Hoover Institute, who told “Fox & Friends Weekend” he found it “silly.”

“Look, you’re not going to solve climate change by telling people to be poor and be colder, be less comfortable, fly less, drive less. Now, have less plants. You’re going to do this [fix climate change] through innovation,” he said on Sunday.

“So stop with this sort of doom-mongering and start thinking about what really works. Innovation is what’s going to work.”

There is some good new as well, Biden’s war on kitchen appliances has been blocked.

The 5th Circuit ruled against the DOE’s ridiculous rules:

“Even if DOE could consider dishwashers’ and clothes washers’ ‘efficiency’ in both ‘energy use’ and ‘water use,’ the 2020 Rules likely promoted greater efficiency in both categories than the Repeal Rule,” the court’s decision stated. “Assuming both energy conservation metrics are on the table, the States argue, and DOE does not appear to dispute, that one important aspect of that problem is whether appliance regulations actually reduce energy and water consumption.”

“Yet the administrative record contains ample evidence that DOE’s efficiency standards likely do the opposite: They make Americans use more energy and more water for the simple reason that purportedly ‘energy efficient’ appliances do not work,” it continued.

Please explain to me why a man who suggests innovation is going to be the answer to "climate change" is a self-important twit. The climate has been slowly changing since time began and there's only one Guy who handles it. Instead of spending gazillions of dollars trying to stop it, which can't be done anyway, how about developing ways of learning to live with it. Depriving people of all the things that make their lives easier and more pleasant will only lead to unhappy frustrated people who will fight back against everything good or bad just because it is being shoved down their throats. It doesn't help that the same people who are telling them they have to modify their lives back to the stone age are tooling around in fancy cars and bragging about their extravagant lifestyles while telling them their houseplants are to blame is just beyond the pale. This is the kind of craziness that causes pushback with even good and reasonable suggestions.

I don't know how it is where you live but today I'd love to have a little global warming--it's freezing cold ,windy , and snowing--again.

You don't understand that the climate crisis is due to all the junk the human race has been dumping into the air for the last century or two. What is a better solution, stop using the atmosphere as a garbage dump, or learn to live in a garbage dump?

Ah, so here we have another climate-change denialist. I suppose you believe in chemtrails and aliens, too.

One question it’s a yes or no answer.
Can biological men have babies?
