The South boasts lower than minimum wages, the least economic mobility, least affordable medical coverage, lower percentages of high school and college graduates, lowest housing values, lower life expectancy, and lower household incomes. The Souths low wages, less union representation, less education, and lower incomes all contribute to the high cost to the rest of the nation to prop up and support ignorant people living in the South who cannot fend for themselves and are not contributing to the nation as a whole...

And, most of you, and your ilk, happen to live in the north and on the left coast. I don't live in the south, but I believe they vote more responsibly than you left coasties and northerners do.

After Shermans march through Georgia destroying everything he could see, the carpetbaggers came down and finished the job. They kept the South from rebuilding and never really let up and you wonder why the South is the way it is? I have news for you, the South is not as bad off as you make it out to be. Well, pal, then why is the poverty rate so much worse in the South...And people living in the South are a lot less likely to move up the economic ladder..it's a valid question
