You should pray only to God not Mary or anyone else the bible makes that clear. Also no one but God can absolve and forgive sins,not a priest or the pope, those are several things that are clear in the bible.😉

Hope, I have to disagree with you. After Jesus rose from the dead, he appeared to the Apostles in the locked room. He breathed on them and said, whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven and whose sins you retain, they are retained. He gave his Apostles the ability to forgive sins just like he could. He also gave the Apostles the right to ordain priests/Apostles and pass down the ability to forgive sins and consecrate the Eucharist.

One sister of mine has some 'radical' religious beliefs, at least in my opinion. She believes since Catholics worship saints, then the 5th Commandment prevails... 'Thou shalt have no other gods before me' (saints) ....so thusly Catholics will never get into Heaven. Just wondering if that's a common belief or not. Please, no snark... I am only asking a question. Thank you.

Liberal loony, I mean liberal Lily, Thou shalt have no other gods before me' is the FIRST COMMANDMENT, not the 5th. The 5th is "honor your father and mother". Catholics don't worship Mary or the Saints. We pray to these people to ask Jesus to help us, nothing more.

Now I'm not a Catholic but did live with a Catholic family for a while. My understanding is that Catholics "don't" worship saints but use Saints to intervene on their behalf. For example: who better to take your case about your children's welfare before God then the patron saint of mothers? Like I said, I'm not a Catholic just my understanding.

IMO;
Catholics are saved in spite of their non-Biblical doctrines. There are sooo many.
Oh well.

No matter what "label" we give it, what really matters is what is in someone's heart. The real truth lies there. No one can "cover up" that kind of truth! The heart doesn't lie....

And I can see you already know this, eagle!!! 🙂

Yes, that was the "Glorious Mysteries, the Descent of the Holy Spirit. John 20:19-29.
The Disciples were having a meeting at a locked room for afraid of the Jews. Jesus suddenly appeared to them, breathed on them saying, receive the Holy Spirit. There appeared tongues of fire, which came to each one of them.

And many miracles happen thru the Saints. Most important one is Mother of Christ, the Virgin Mary. Her obedience to God. "I am the handmade of the Lord. Let it be done to me according to your word." Luke 1:38.

Protestants should just worship the Lord in their way and the Catholics should do the same as well .

There will be those that go to Protestant and Catholic churches that are only pretenders and not true followers of Christ that won't make it to Heaven so stop all the arguing about which church is the only way and then let the Lord sort them out !

Yes, they became Saints because of their services, love, and sacrifice to God and His people. These are the Faithfuls who surround and protect the Kings throne. through righteousness. Christ is a King!
