The Jews do not claim that other people are animals.

What the bible says is that the Jews are his chosen people, he also said that they are a stiffted necked lot, they refuse to yield.

Jesus has said, that who ever shall believe in me shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

The bible also says:

Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.
Judge not, for as ye judge, so shall be judged.

The Talmud is not Scripture, nor has it ever been considered inspired literature. It is a Commentary, the opinions of Jewish Rabbis, recorded from the 2nd century A.D to the 5th century A.D.; a product of Rabbinical brainstorming sessions where a group of Rabbis would each give their opinion on a particular Torah portion, or teaching.

Thus it was explained to me by a Rabbi that practically any belief a person might have regarding a particular Scripture could be upheld by one or another of the recorded Rabbinical opinions.

Jesus died because it was his mission to do so. For that cause, came He into the world, and He was obedient to God the Father, even unto death, burial and a glorious resurrection that had the potential of saving all mankind, if they repented, believed on Him, and followed His example of sacrificial giving (although not necessarily to death, obviously).

The Sanhedrin maneuvered to have Jesus put to death because they considered Him a threat to the power and status they had created for themselves through their willing collusion with Rome, just as those with great political power today will often stop at nothing to retain their power.

Their stated charge against Jesus was "blasphemy" for his statement that he and the Father were one, declaring Himself to be God, and equal with God.
