You Leftists started it when you removed simple prayer out of school thru the efforts of an atheist and you have systematically and incrementally chipped away at our foundation ever since. Would the Founders have agreed with that decision or the Americans that fought the Revolutionary War? Hell no. You've perverted our Constitution and used it against our Republic if we can legitimately be called a Republic anymore with the Left's destruction of the Rule of Law.
I never claimed the issues are political. The politics are always transitory, its the spiritual war that will destroy us and that is where the atheistic Left has placed their most aggressive efforts. They have, however, purposely brought issues against our faith into politics: abortion, lgbtq, defense of marriage, etc, etc, etc, and destroyed the balance between Church & State that we always enjoyed before. Consider that in my youth that the Traditional American morals, values, faith, family & love of country, etc., I was taught in my home, were the same as our neighbors, our churches, schools, community, state and across the nation. Democrats and Republicans may have had to compromise on politics yet they shared the very same morals, values, faith etc., etc. Who the bloody hell gave you damn leftists permission to change us? The answer is the adaption of atheistic cultural Marxism. Can you explain what good has been accomplished with the moral compromises? Are you perhaps a moral relativist with your special Bible, "50 shades of gray?"
You claim, "You and I can influence good." How is that possible when you're compromised to accept evil as good? Anytime Conservatives compromise with the cultural Marxist Left we lose another incremental bit of the moral and truthful good.

You say it’s not political but spiritual then you say the “left”-Political is cause of changes, then you say Republicans and Democrats shared the same morals values , faith etc. and leftists changed us.
Sounds to me that people and views have changed and you say it’s not political and that the left has changed us. Maybe peoples views have changed and you are looking for a scapegoat and decided contrary to your statements that it is political and the left that did it.
Government over the decades has had both party leaders and or majorities in Congress. Legislation has been passed congress( republicans and democrats), survived Supreme Court scrutiny as our government is supposed to work. We vote for Congress and President to represent us.
So much of the degradation you state has always been there, but not always visible, ( internet, special interest groups, trying to make broad brush legislation to support low percentage issues means many people will take exception.
Many races are in minority, many religions are minority, LGBT is a minority, different age groups are a minority, abortion is an emotional issue, etc. when Federal government try’s to legislate these issues it uses the constitution and amendments as it’s base, Federal legislation affects all USA citizens and has to be written to respect all people beliefs and rights per constitution . Issues not resolved at Federal level then are left to each state to legislate as state representatives see fit based on their constituents inputs.
The process works, and some will always disagree, we need to quit pointing fingers at left or right and point at ourselves to be active with our representatives to let them know of feeling, work to influence their votes and vote them out where they don’t support constituents views. We each have to continue to civilly voice our opinions to our legislators and others to move the majority.
Blaming left or right for all our issues some that have been around since founding of our country some new. Blacks freedom was a civil war issue, womens right to vote was suffragette issue, womens right to control medical choices related to abortion is a changing issue especially with Roe vs Wade overturn- moving to states which gives a hodgepodge of legislation state by state, marijuana is another caught between Fed Govt and states, .
Each of these issues will have a majority of people that support a position and a minority that are opposed. Each person needs to take a position, if don’t like it challenge it, but we can’t hate the majority decisions or people that make these decisions. It’s the way a democratic republic works I believe.
Sorry I rambled but it’s my thoughts shared so you understand where I’m coming from.
