That still leaves us with the problem of the States that have governments that are just as corrupt as the federal government. We are not in a short supply of them as you well know.

Yup, and you have to take your shoes off to count all of them. I think that the State corruption should be handled by the people in the State. Much easier than wrestling with the Fed. The problem with forming groups to attack these problems is that the groups themselves become corrupted.

Ex. MADD

Mothers Against Drunk Driving was formed by a woman who lost her family to a drunk driving a three thousand lb. wrecking ball.
The aim and initial outcome was to lobby the State Legislature to toughen the drunk driving Laws.
After the initial few years the founder quit the organization because it had morphed into a prohibitionist movement!

Very difficult to get anything done because people are completely oblivious to what is going on. Go to a rock concert? SURE! Get into a group to march on the State House for these reasons? Well, I'll think about it......

Wherever there is large sums of money, corruption thrives. Even in the well known humanitarian organizations. When morals decay, corruption takes over.

Exactly right, if the States would stop accepting anything from the Fed., and stop paying the Fed., you and I would see that huge, ungainly, money eating monster turn into little Tinker Bell asking for alms.
The States must get together and work out a budget for the Fed. What is the Fed. charged with?
1.- Raise a standing army to protect our borders.
2.- FBI to catch crooks and killers who cross State lines.
3.- Generate and maintain our money supply.
Etc. Etc.

================================

Politicians, bureaucrats, and government employees do not share the the ambition to make the U.S. the way it is supposed to be. They are concerned with feathering their own nests amd building their power and ego machines.

Government is so corrupt that decent, patriotic, intelligent people don't want to be part of it.

And massive fraud in voter registration, voting, and vote tabulating makes it nearly impossible for a decent person to be elected.

You are absolutely right on all counts and my son is one of those who would not even dream of throwing his hat in the ring since he spent some time in DC on an election campaign.

That's what I've been trying to say. 55,000 illegals in Missouri according to this:
http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/map_of_the_week/2013/02/map_illegal_immigrant_population_by_state.html

EVERY state has some illegals, including Alaska and Hawaii.

The wealthy pay 80% of the taxes, those on interminable unemployment and welfare don't pay any taxes. I guess that according to you we should make everyone depend on the Government and that way we can have a nice dictatorship!
