It's absolutely true. This pretty much proves where the smartest people in the country live.
Missouri !!

Missouri has no illegal's; go figure...shouldn't the other states do the same?

Missouri's approach to the problem of illegal immigration appears to be more advanced, sophisticated, strict and effective than anything to date in Arizona. Does the White House appreciate what Missouri has done? So, why doesn't Missouri receive attention? Answer: There are no illegals in Missouri to demonstrate.

The "Show Me" state has again shown us how it should be done. There needs to be more publicity and exposure regarding what Missouri has done. Please pass this around.

In 2007, Missouri placed on the ballot a proposed constitutional amendment designating English as the official language of Missouri. In November, 2008, nearly 90% voted in favor! Thus, English became the official language for ALL governmental activity in Missouri. No individual has the right to demand government services in a language OTHER than English.

In 2008, a measure was passed that required the Missouri Highway Patrol and other law enforcement officials to verify the immigration status of any person arrested, and inform federal authorities if the person is found to be in Missouri illegally. Missouri law enforcement officers receive specific training with respect to enforcement of federal immigration laws.

In Missouri , illegal immigrants do NOT have access to taxpayer benefits such as food stamps or health care through Missouri Health NET.
In 2009, a measure was passed that ensures Missouri's public institutions of higher education do NOT award financial aid to individuals who are illegally in the United States.

In Missouri all post-secondary institutions of higher education to annually certify to the Missouri Dept. Of Higher Education that they have NOT knowingly awarded financial aid to students who are unlawfully present in the United States.

So, while Arizona has made national news for its new law, it is important to remember, Missouri has been far more proactive in addressing this horrific problem. Missouri has made it clear that illegal immigrants are NOT welcome in the state and they will certainly NOT receive public benefits at the expense of Missouri taxpayers.

Had Missouri received the attention from the DOJ that Arizona did, they might not have accomplished as much. It's no secret that Governor Brewer of AZ has somewhat less than no use for Obama. The feeling is mutual, but Governor Brewer lacks the services of Eric "the hitman" Holder, whose view of law enforcement is whatever his employer tell him it is.
I applaud Missouri's stance. Also AZ for doing what they could under intense Federal pressure. We need about 48 more.
There is a misconception that if employers refused to hire illegals they would "self-deport." This is a crock. There was a serious crackdown here in GA. The illegals didn't leave, they just started collecting even more benefits they are inelegible to receive. I posted about a "sting" that was performed here. Two Latina students, (both American citizens ), posed as teenage illegals, unmarried, with one dependent each. They qualified for thousands of dollars of benefits. The important part being that AT NO TIME were their credentials, their "bona fides" checked for authenticity. Why should illegals "self deport," when they can scam enough benefits off of DFACS to still live better than in Mexico or Central America?

You're under a misconception if you believe that Missouri has no illegals. http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/map_of_the_week/2013/02/map_illegal_immigrant_population_by_state.html

I don't know that rumor got started, but we already covered this in this topic:

While I would like to see every State adopt these principles under the sovereignty of the states and the 10th Amendment. With this lawless government we have today, it only takes one federal judge to say your laws are unconstitutional and your state will be tied up in the courts for years. Pray this doesn't happen, but this government will not be denied.

This is where nullification and interposition come into play. Any state has more power then the federal government, but they are afraid to use it. They have also simply forgotten exactly how much they really do have. Just because Holder says something does not make it law or right. Holder can try forcing states into anything he wants, but if the states simply nullifies his stupidity, there is nothing he can do. They can hold back government monies, but the states need to learn to live without that anyway. It is nothing more then a means to blackmail a state into submission and to do what the feds want. Until the states learn how to stand on their own two feet, we are going to have this problem and it will get worse.

The States should withold from the Feds. There is no such thing as a Federal gift. Everything you get from the Fed has been extorted from someone, and you only get it with strings attached.

It's really not stupidity because stupidity can be overcome, it's willful ignorance that is unfixable.

Willful ignorance is a form of stupidity.

Exactly right, if the States would stop accepting anything from the Fed., and stop paying the Fed., you and I would see that huge, ungainly, money eating monster turn into little Tinker Bell asking for alms.
The States must get together and work out a budget for the Fed. What is the Fed. charged with?
1.- Raise a standing army to protect our borders.
2.- FBI to catch crooks and killers who cross State lines.
3.- Generate and maintain our money supply.
Etc. Etc.

That still leaves us with the problem of the States that have governments that are just as corrupt as the federal government. We are not in a short supply of them as you well know.
