More name calling because you have nothing to counter with. I keep asking, how is Biden destroying the Republic. You answer with name calling. That's the reaction of a child. I listed the many accomplishments of the Biden administration. I get nothing but childish name calling. I ask for the many accomplishments of the trump administration. I get nothing but childish name calling. I liked voting for war heroes. You know the ones trump pisses on whenever he gets the chance. McCain, Dole, H.W.Bush. I also cast "protest votes" when both parties failed to give a decent choice. Libertarians, Ross Perot, Ralph Nader. And the number one person I will always vote for is anyone running against trump. Once again, I'll ask you, what were trump's accomplishments? And how is Biden destroying the Republic?

The one who has NOTHING...is YOU, bub. You don't even know what Congress is!!!

Which facts did I not back up. I said that fox "news" has no integrity. They lost a 750 million dollar lawsuit for lying. FACT. I said trump pardened his criminal lackeys. FACT. I said trump tried to defund the FBI to stop an investigation of him. FACT. I said trump failed to answer a subpoena to return the documents he took to his home. FACT. I could go on and on, but you just have to read my post and tell me what you dispute. And as for the list of Biden's accomplishments, they are a matter of record. It's all concrete. The FACT that your 'Rats have fabricated charges over and over...and failed miserably to prove even one of them...and fallen flat on investigation after investigation, impeachment failure after impeachment failure, raids on his home by the FBI when he told them they could come to Mar-a-Lago anytime to look at the documents (and they DID two months before the fake, unnecessary raid), and an amazing array of ridiculous charges, most of which have surpassed statute of limitation time periods and the harassment, attacks and maligning for almost EIGHT years now tell me how "real" your "facts" are!

You want a list of just SOME of Trump's accomplishments? Here:

1. The lowest-paid 25% of Americans had a 4.5% income boost in November 2019, which outpaced a 2.9% gain in earnings for the country’s highest-paid workers. This benefited African Americans because many, according to Associated Press research cited in 2018 by USA TODAY, were in low-paying jobs.

2. In 2018, Trump signed the groundbreaking First Step Act, a criminal justice reform bill that enacted reforms that made our justice system fairer and helps former inmates return to society. More than 90% of those benefiting from the retroactive sentencing reductions in the First Step Act are African Americans.

3. Under Trump, poverty rates for African Americans and Hispanic Americans reached their lowest levels since the U.S. began collecting such data.

4. Pre COVID-19, African American unemployment was at an all-time low.

5. The Pledge to America’s Workers has resulted in employers committing to train more than 4 million Americans.

6. The First Step Act’s reforms addressed inequities in sentencing laws that disproportionately harmed African Americans, and reformed mandatory minimums that created unfair outcomes.

7. Trump signed the first Perkins C.T.E. reauthorization since 2016, authorizing more than $1 billion for states each year to fund vocational and career education programs.

The previous noted actions by the Trump administration are all substantive and measurable. The Trump administration has done considerably more for the African American community than several previous Democrat administrations. Considering those accomplishments, it is puzzling that black leaders continue to march in lockstep with the Democrats. Where are the free thinkers in that community?

From an economic standpoint, the Trump administration made great strides.

1. Under Trump’s leadership, in 2018 the U.S. surpassed Russia and Saudi Arabia to become the world’s largest producer of crude oil.

2. The Trump administration made a deal with the European Union to increase U.S. energy exports to Europe.

3. It withdrew the U.S. from the job-killing Trans-Pacific Partnership, a major change in trade policy.

4. The Trump Administration secured $250 billion in new trade and investment deals in China and $12 billion in Vietnam.

5. It approved up to $12 billion in aid for farmers affected by unfair trade retaliation, but announced a total of $28 billion in aid for farmers in 2018 and 2019.

Other accomplishments include a dozen hostages freed, moving the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, initiating historic tax cut legislation for Opportunity Zones and fulfilling his campaign promise to improve the Veterans Administration, just to name a few.

Trump’s accomplishments are many, and many people, including myself, have posted long lists of them here but you would never know listening to ‘Rat posters here and the Democrat-controlled liberal media. As far as you 'Rats are concerned, none of these things happened.

Trump has achieved many of his goals, while surviving a corrupt impeachment investigation, hostility by a liberal press and a pandemic hoax of epic proportions…where unauthorized people changed election rules and mailed ballots to deceased people, people who changed their names (married/divorced) or moved floating all over the place for anyone to fill out! How can anyone believe there was no fraud and rigging going on in the 2020 election?!!!

Beware! I think Biden is the most dangerous man in America today. His brain does not function, but being run and managed by another radical brain whose goal is destroying America.

The wide-open borders are the most powerful forces that will eventually change America. Drive the Americans and replaced by these terrorists from countries all over the world. They multiply so fast making so many children to populate and overpower this nation.

America will be like the ME, or Canaan, the land owned by Israel, from Abraham thru Isaac, and now taken over by the radical Muslims.

These invaders and terrorists are already inside the America. Tens of thousands blended among the 8 million illegal invaders allowed by Joe Biden and Barack Obama. In addition, about 1.5 million of them unaccounted for. Total of them could be 9.5 million for 2 years and 9 months of the Biden administration.

We are spending $151 billion per years, plus their children's education of $32,000 each kid per year, for a total of 25,000 illegal kids. Additional cost to hire Hispanic teachers to teach these dumb kids how to speak English.

Right now, they are overcrowding the emergency medical hospitals. We could not use the emergency medical right now. Medical facilities are overcrowded by illegal aliens and Muslim terrorists.

No country in the world has wide open borders for all foreigners to enter except the United States. It is only in America; the world owns this land thru Biden and Barack!

These invaders poison the American people with tons of drugs, so they die and replaced by Muslims. Hundreds of thousands of our people die every year, and millions more became lunatics due to drug addiction, thus homelessness are scattered all over the blue states due to the destructions of the treacherous and dumb administration of Biden and Obama.

Few years from now, the Muslims could drive us out, or our children out.
Like Israel, this land will be taken and confiscated by Muslims. That's what they have been doing in the entire ME. There are 1.8 billion Muslims in the world at present. Muslims multiply rapidly.

While America's population is shrinking because most democrat women kill their babies, through abortions.

This is what I fear. But I can only pray. I can't control the filth and violence of these people.

Because of filth and violence that prevail around us now, the wrath of God could be coming. All I can do is pray!

First of all, I want to thank you. You are the only one who actually came back with claims that can be researched.
That said, let's start with your numbered statements:

1. The numbers you quote are a little deceiving. The bottom 10% wages went up 9%, due primarily, to progressive, high population states raising the minimum wages to up to $15./hr. according to the Economic Policy Institute.
20-40%, +3.9%, 40-60%, +2.4%, 60-80%, 1.8%, 90% and up, 4.9%
2. First step act, can't say a bad thing about it.
3. See number 1
4. Had been coming down steadily since late 2011, spiked in late 2020, and have come down even lower under the
Biden administration. I don't think trump was president in 2011, but he was a Democrat
5. A noble attempt, but they're having trouble raising skills to a level that employers require. Not trump's fault.
6. See number 2
7. Why did he wait till 2018?

As for the paragraph after note 7, the southern states do everything they can to neutralize the black vote through gerrymandering, voter suppression, limiting voting sites, purging voter rolls, and everything else they can think of. Alabama, for one, refuses to obey a Supreme Court order to add another black district to more represent their share of the population. Louisiana, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Florida, Georgia, Texas all have challenges pending. Why would blacks vote republican?

The next 5.

1. Oil production started to rise steadily in 2012. I don't think trump was president then, but he was a Democrat.
2. Energy exports did go up under trump, but went higher under Biden.
3. This was a very good thing. At first I was worried about curbing China's growing influence in the pacific rim, but
with China's foolish saber rattling, and false claims of sovereignty over international waters, older allies, and
countries like Vietnam are all growing closer to the US, and increasing defense spending big time.
4. 12 Billion for Vietnam, great. Any money for China not so good. We should get our manufacturing out of China,
period. We should be building more factories in the US, like Biden is doing. Also in Central, and northern South
America. It would bring imagration to a crawl. And who thought making, and depending on, our geopolitical rival
rich and prosperous
5. This one is mixed. He did give money to farmers, but it was to cover losses caused by his tariffs. I'm not saying
that's a bad thing. We should be dealing with China as little as possible. They don't play fair.

And just stop with the "stolen election" crap. There's been countless audits and recounts and investigations (by Republicans, by the way) and nothing was found. And they used it as an excuse for making it harder for poorer and blacks to vote. It's been almost 3 years. ENOUGH. HE LOST!
As far as trump's legal issues, they are of his own making. He's a grifter, a scammer, a con man. I spent 65 years living in Brooklyn and Nassau County He refused to pay contractors and outlasted them in court, putting many hard working people out of business. He also has a habit of stiffing lawyers. He lost 25 million dollars in the trump University scam. He lost 5 million to E. Jean Caroll for defamation, then, a few days after the judgment, he went on a rant and repeated the defamation online again! WHAT A MORON! The second awarded amount will be determined in Jan. 2024. The N.Y. fraud trial is also in the penalty stage having been found liable for fraud.

Now for the criminal cases. The N.Y. Alvin Bragg trial is pretty cut and dry. It's a paper trail case, like the N.Y. civil fraud case. Paper trails are hard to beat.
The documents case is pretty simple to. He took the documents didn't give them back when asked nicely, didn't give them back when subpoenaed, had his lawyers sign an affidavit saying he surrendered all the documents, and he didn't.
Then there's the Georgia case, which is complicated. But with Peter Navaro going on TV and explaining the whole "Green Bay Sweep" as if any of it were legal, and with 19 co-defendants some of which will have to flip on trump, simply because they can't afford the legal fees, trump could be in deep doo-doo.
The DC trial is a doozie. A conspiracy to violate civil rights, a conspiracy to defraud the government, the corrupt obstruction of an official proceeding and a conspiracy to carry out such obstruction. He claimed "stolen election" justified his actions, but NO EVIDENCE was presented.

You ask "How can anyone believe there was no fraud and rigging going on in the 2020 election?!!!" Easy. 62 trials NO EVIDENCE. Countless recounts. NO EVIDENCE. Saying "the evidence is everywhere" is not evidence, no matter how many times you say it.

More name calling because you have nothing to coun... (show quote)

Congratulate me. Since you are so sensitive to being called a name, snowflake, I first drug out and privately called you every vile name I could ever remember so that I might exercise some amount of self-control, discipline and decorum before responding to your arrogance on the OPP. Name calling represent metaphorical bullets; better than lead ones for the present huh?? I had to ask myself several times whether I hate your, f-bomb, guts or rather that i despise what you profess to stand for. Since I don't know you personally I concluded it must be your ideology and felonious beliefs. It was a close call and one for which I shamefully struggled.

Your final question, "And how is Biden destroying the Republic?" expletive depleted, another expletive deleted and still yet another, I find your asinine question astounding!

There are many many ways Biden is destroying the Republic yet I shall only mention three.

1. He has encouraged an invasion of undocumented foreign nationals into America. This invasion will cause a permanent change in American demographics. By a recent count their numbers, over the years, could now reach 50 million. This invasion is now controlled and regulated by drug cartels who also pour thousands of pounds of Chinese fentanyl into our country causing 100,000 deaths per year. Many of the illegal immigrants children are enslaved into the sex trade and billions of American tax dollars are shed to care for an illerate and unskilled mob of illegal immigrants. There is also the dangerous reality that hundreds of terrorist on the watch list slipped thru our wide open porous border. Additionally, Biden has allowed the degradation of our national sovereignty. One evil man allows an invasion and America is powerless to stop him. Our Republic is broken.

2. Biden supports, encourages and employs in his administration every sexual pervert found within the LGBTQ militant movement. There is nothing, not one thing, redeeming in this mob of perverts who gained Federal & national legitimacy and are now deemed as normal, natural and healthy people. Not true.
Their perverted poison has seeped into every crack and fannie, I mean nook and cranny, in America. There is no place where it is 100% denied as wrong and evil EXCEPT amongst people of uncompromised faith. The LGBTQ perversion has destroyed traditional marriage and the nuclear family, our basic foundation stones. Attack and change our Republic's traditional morals, values and faith and essentially you destroy that Republic. We're now "fundamentally changed."

3. The final proof is the most damning one that is endorsed 100% by you Trump hating leftist. From the moment Trump won in 2016 the Left has been trying to destroy him. There is not one single trumped up charge against him, from his first day to the present, that was not crafted and created by the Marxist Trump hating Left. A prudent and balanced person would have some niggling that something was not quite kosher but not one single leftist can admit to it. Our good man, Blade, said it so precise: "The Donald Trump the left hates so viciously is a media construct, a caricature, a false image of a man anyone would hate. They paint their picture of him as the most evil man that ever existed. They hate him more than the Jews hated der Fuhrer. As I see it, they're doing the work of the devil. And, one day, there will be a Reckoning."

What your hatred of Trump caused was the destruction of the Rule of Law which, in turn, destroyed our Republic. There unquestionably now exists a 2 tiered justice system in America today but not to you Trump hating Leftist who feel fully justified. What you also destroyed completely, after the 2020 questionable election, is any further confidence whatsoever in our elections. Only a damn fool cannot understand that all these indictments, every one of them against Trump, is intentional & blatent election interference. I expect SCOTUS remains silent in this matter in fear that Schumer, whose already threatned them, will possibly stack their court.

The Republic died, few people recognize it yet but they will eventually. It died without a whimper.

It's way past my bedtime and my sleeping pills have kicked in hard. I want you to read, mark, learn and inwardly digest my comment and think first if you feel compelled to respond.

First off, your name calling doesn't upset me. It actually shows your childishness, and reinforces your inability to present any kind of argument besides rehashing talking points from a lying Fox "news" network. And once again you offer nothing but opinion and conjecture. You don't even try to back up what you say.

Unlike the fruitless investigation of Biden, there is enough evidence of trump's crimes to get 4 indictments for 91 felony charges. The documents case should be cut and dry. He took government records, he wouldn't give back government records, was served with a subpoena gave back some government records, moved government records to hide them, had his lawyer sign an affidavit stating he gave back all the records, a search warrant was enforced, and many records were recovered. Many classified and top secret documents were included in his boxes. He moved them from insecure room to insecure room, treating them like they were his dirty laundry. He should never be allowed to touch sensitive documents again. All his charges are supported by evidence, unlike your lame argument.

And, once again, I'm not a leftist. I believe in law and order and the constitution, like Republicans used to stand for. Now, you all just stand for trump, at all costs. And the House of Reps. are doing some great job of avoiding governing at all costs.

trump is the RINO in chief.

Once again, YOU GOT NOTHING!

The COVID-19 shutdown: A timeline of how the pandemic changed the US economy

Although the U.S. has passed the two-year mark since the arrival of COVID-19, the country is still working to recover from the economic toll of the pandemic.

In March 2020, the U.S. shut down its economy, shuttering businesses and telling all nonessential workers to stay at home in an attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19.

The sudden shutdown took a drastic toll on the U.S., as businesses shed millions of jobs in an attempt to stay afloat and two presidential administrations had to use executive orders and pass massive spending bills to try to stave off economic collapse.

Since the initial onslaught of measures that crippled the economy, the U.S. has slowly been working to restore the pre-pandemic economy, but as businesses have come back and the public has moved toward living with the virus, inflation has skyrocketed and presented new threats.

Here is a timeline of how the COVID-19 ravaged the U.S. economy and where it is now.

The economy before COVID-19 hit

Although there were grumblings of a new serious illness about to make waves around the world, the U.S. was operating normally in January 2020, and the economy under President Trump was relatively strong.

Unemployment was at 3.5 percent, with 5.8 million citizens searching for work, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

American businesses were doing well and the economy showed signs of growth with rising incomes.

In January 2020, consumer spending increased by 0.2 percent as incomes went up 0.6 percent.

March 2020 — The pandemic hits

As coronavirus cases started to creep into the United States, President Trump signed the first COVID-19 package, the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act.

The measure doled out $2.5 billion in aid to local governments and international communities and offered funds to assist research for a vaccine.

But cases spread rapidly. And as sports leagues declared shutdowns in mid-March, the U.S. economy did the same. Restaurants, entertainment venues and retail stores were among the thousands of places to shut their doors to try and slow COVID-19’s spread.

The unemployment rate spiked as millions were out of work.

Initial unemployment claims surged from 281,000 early in the month to 3.3 million by March 26.

Overall, the economy shed more than 850,000 jobs in March 2020 before a whopping 20.5 million were lost in April, leading to the unemployment rate climbing all the way to 14.7 percent.

On March 27, Trump signed a $2 trillion COVID-19 relief bill, the CARES Act, which gave each adult in the U.S. a one-time payment of $1,200 and added another $500 for every child.

Money was also provided to different business sectors, and small businesses were granted billions of dollars in loans and grants to counter the blow of the pandemic.

The COVID-19 economy after the initial shock

The unemployment rate in April was the peak during the pandemic and thousands of businesses were forced to close their doors, many for good.

Trump signed another $484 billion in coronavirus aid at the end of the month to help small businesses and provide funding to hospitals and for COVID-19 testing.

May, June and July saw the unemployment rate remain above the 10 percent mark, with little aid coming from the federal government.

When the unemployment rate finally dropped below 10 percent to 8.4 percent in August, Trump signed executive orders releasing new measures to help Americans who were still struggling economically.

The orders included measures to create the Lost Wages Assistance program and extend the moratorium on student loan payments.

The unemployment rate steadily declined through the rest of the year as people got back to work, hitting 6.7 percent in December when the first COVID-19 vaccines were distributed throughout the U.S. for the elderly or high-risk people.

At the same time, Congress agreed on another stimulus package for the U.S. that cost $900 billion.

That package gave direct checks of $600 to Americans, expanded the timeline for unemployment benefits, extended the eviction moratorium, and offered more money for small businesses and industries that were hit hardest during the pandemic.

Data showed that 2020 was the worst year for economic growth since 1946, with the economy shrinking by 3.5 percent.

The economy surges and threatens to overheat under Biden

Unemployment still failed to reach pre-pandemic levels in 2021 as the U.S. battled through new COVID-19 variants and various surges in cases but saw a loosening of restrictions.

At the beginning of the year, January saw an unemployment rate of 6.4 percent with 10 million people unemployed when Biden took office.

The first relief package passed under Biden was the American Rescue Plan, which was signed in March.

The plan offered $1,400 cash payments directly to citizens, increased the annual Child Tax Credit and expanded unemployment insurance and benefits.

As the delta variant COVID-19 wave subsided, states began loosening restrictions and returning to some semblance of normalcy.

Sporting events were fully packed with spectators, and entertainment venues began to open for business.

By the end of the year, the unemployment rate was back down to 3.9 percent as most businesses were allowed to reopen without interference from the federal government.

Gross domestic product in 2021 grew the fastest in decades as businesses reopened and millions were able to get back to work and get back to spending.

Overall, the economy grew by 5.7 percent and was able to recover faster than it did during the Great Recession.

The economy in 2022 and beyond

While unemployment hovered at just around 4 percent at the beginning of the year, the billion in payments to Americans and the return to work led to spikes in consumer prices on items like cars, groceries and utilities.

All states dropped COVID-19 restrictions, though some cities have renewed them as cases have increased, and vaccines and boosters are available for everyone over the age of 5.

No more relief packages have been issued but Biden has continued to extend the pause on student loan payments.

The unemployment rate was just 3.6 percent in March, the closest seen to pre-pandemic numbers in two years.

Unemployment and job numbers have receded as the largest economic threat, as record-breaking inflation has taken hold and become a hot topic in the U.S.

Supply chain issues due to the pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine have caused a number of factors contributing to skyrocketing costs.

With the economy reaching inflation numbers not seen in 40 years, the Federal Reserve this week raised its interest rate by 0.5 percent, the largest such increase in more than 20 years.

Amid the surging growth and the spiking inflation, Democrats and Republicans are looking to seize on economic factors to gain support in the upcoming midterm elections.

Ya, COVID was bad. And since it has been proven to be man made and manipulated to be a weapon against humanity, shouldn't we hold those who made and released it held accountable? All this emergency authorization use for a vaccine patented in 1992 is ludicrous. Every one of the big pharma CEOs should be in prison. We can't let them get away with murdering millions of people world wide. What do they have in store for us next? We got to stand up speak up and take them down.

I agree! And not only the pharma CEO's, but the crooked politicians, from both parties, that were complicit in their price gouging.
