The Protocols of The Learned Elders of Zion is widely considered to be a hoax. I believe it was promulgated to stir resentment and fear of Jews.

The Jews had been nomads for centuries as so many other groups had been. They settled in the area called Canaan and occupied it as a result of Aaron & Moses efforts.

Their occupancy was interrupted twice, once with the emigration to Egypt that resulted ir Aaron and Moses return and once to Persia. After each, they returned although likely some had remained in the interim.

After their uprising against Roman rule around 69 AD, they were dispersed to just about everywhere. During the last years of the nineteenth century, Zionism arose for them to have a homeland. Uganda (of all places), Crimea (far more logical) and, of course, what had come to be called Palestine (most logical) which they settled on. I am certain that some Jews had remained there during the intervening centuries.

During World War I, some Zionists pressured the British to adopt the Balfour Declaration to designate an area for a Jewish homeland and Palestine was chosen.

For most of the post-Mosaic period, Jews were not a nomadic people and during their sojourns in Egypt & Persia, established homes where they lived.

The ultimate aim of The Protocols of The Learned Elders of Zion was to secure The Palestinian Homeland and change history to create the idea that it was the Jewish Homeland, which of course is absurd since Biblical history clearly state that the Israelites were a nomadic people without a Homeland.
