Do you think this will do it? It only gives the Marxist Democraps more leverage. The Republicans weren't giving more money to Ukraine. I wish everything was distinctly black and white. Pick your battles wisely if you want to win the war. Gaetz and those who voted with him are not putting the country first. They could have cut 30% and sent it to the senate to fight McConnell.

There have been 21 government shut-downs over the years. And guess what...the country survived/the sky did not fall/this too shall pass...and sometimes it actually kicked lazy politicians in the you know where...and they get off their lazy b's and finally worked for their constituents. If a Representative is hearing stand firm/shut it down...he/she should listen to his/her constituents. Not everyone is shaking in their boots over something that has happened 21 times...and the outcome was...little/nothing. No one can even remember the dire/horrible/earth shattering predictions that never came true...oh my goodness the government is shutting down...yawn. As for the next election, it's over a year away...anyone who would vote Democrat-Communist after the last 3+ years/4 by then, (I seriously doubt it's going to get much better/Gestapo Joe (or whoever is really running things)isn't going to change his policies) isn't the least bit concerned over the minutia of government in-fighting...they're too stupid to figure out much of anything. I get the very strong impression that nearly all politicians are far more concerned with their own re-elections, salaries, committee assignments and media coverage rather than anything as mundane as the welfare of the country or their constituents. However, they do seem very skilled in talking themselves into believing they have the best interests of the latter at heart.

I know you don't really mean that so please be careful what you wish for. The republicans are both blessed and cursed by the fact that they are all individuals with a mind of their own and thus will argue over idea's, whereas the democrats are unable to think for themselves and will follow any order they're given by the leadership.
