Correct me if I'm wrong but in order to be in a government position in a state you have to live in that state. And how long do you have to be a resident before you qualify?

The answer is today. The president and vp can’t be from the same state, to address this Dick Cheney claimed a residence in Wyoming so he could run with Bush.

I believe this has precedence. There was either a senator or representative who lived in an adjacent state. But it bordered the state & not 2,600 miles away. This was in my lifetime.
