READ IN APP

if Donald Trump manages to worm his unpleasant way back into office, he has no plans to leave — ever. Trump will remain in power until the day he dies, and then his hand-picked successor will replace him.

this isn’t some paranoid left-wing fantasy.

right now, Republicans are working to make this happen — and they’re not even bothering to keep it a secret. they’re bragging about it. they’ve published their plan. it has a name: the 2025 Project.

their scheme is to purge the entire government rank and file and replace them with Trump loyalists. that’s right, everybody — from the highest levels of the federal government all the way down to your local dogcatcher. and they’re not waiting until 2025 — they’ve already started recruiting foot-soldiers.

once everything is in place, we’ll stop having stupid little things like elections, or freedom, or democracy.

read the whole thing. it will scare the living fuck out of you.

are you hearing anything about the 2025 Project from our corporate-controlled media? no, you are not.

Upgrade to paid

Ron Filipkowski has compiled a list of “27 insane things Trump said he will do in a second term.”

“insane” is an understatement. “totally batshit fucking nuts” is more like it. here’s a sampling:

10. Require that schools hold elections each year where principals will be elected by parents who will choose whoever they want to run the school each year. 6/30/23

11. Any person convicted of selling drugs will get the death penalty. 11/15/22

12. Pardon convicted J6 inmates convicted of seditious conspiracy and assaulting police officers, with an apology from the US government. 9/1/22

13. Have DOJ investigate Comcast, NBC and MSNBC for treason and remove them from the public airwaves. 9/24/23

the whole thing is a laundry list of half-baked ideas, blatant violations of our constitution, flagrant abuses of power, and authoritarian score-settling.

are you hearing about any of this from our corporate-controlled media? no, you are not.

Trump’s brain is rotting. he’s completely losing his grip on reality. at his hate-fests, he can barely construct a sentence. he loses his train of thought. he meanders. he stumbles over common words. and he confuses facts and events.

here’s Trump yesterday, giving a speech in South Carolina.

“we came down here. you know, the beauty was when I came here. everyone thought Bush was going to win. and then they took a poll and found out Trump was up by about 50 points. everyone said, ‘what's going on right here?’ they thought Bush, because Bush supposedly was a military person. great. you know what he was? he got us into the... he got us into the Middle East. how did that work out, right? but they all thought that Bush might win. Jeb, remember Jeb?”

yes, indeed. remember that great military leader Jeb Bush, who led us to war in the Middle East? apparently, Trump does.

Trump can’t get through a sentence without fucking up.

last week, Trump made the bizarre claim that voter ID was required to buy a loaf of bread.

in another recent speech, Trump claimed that his 2016 opponent was Barack Obama, and then warned that Biden was leading us into “world war two.”

are you hearing about any of this from our corporate-controlled media?

say it with me: no, you are not.

I hate to sound like a broken record (what’s a “record,” grandpa?), but where the fuck is the media?

holy shit, ladies and gentlemen of the press, you should be running around with your hair on fire. Donald Trump is promising to shut you down and throw you in prison, and the Republican Party is working overtime to remove any constitutional barriers that would prevent him from doing so.

we’re six years into this bullshit, and you’re still treating Donald Trump like a conventional politician, and Republicans as if they were good-faith partners in democracy.

Exactly!!!!!!

No, they do not. The two, capitalism and socialism, are incompatible. When people, even smart people, claim we are using socialism, that is a mistake. The joint ventures we use as a society, because it is more efficient that way, such as social security, public infrastructure like highways and bridges, and similar projects, are NOT socialism. They are simply practical individual cooperative efforts. Calling what we do in America 'socialism' is like calling a kid with a lemonade stand a capitalist. A few similarities, but not the same thing.
Even our joint ventures use capitalism in purchasing infrastructure, supplies, and acquiring labor. How many tens of thousands of contractors bid to do government projects.
The faux capitalism used in Communist China has some capitalist-like similarities, but the bottom line is they do what their government tells them to do, economically AND socially, or else.

I doubt it will do any good in his case, but perhaps it will plant a seed of common sense in some other readers.

It has also failed many times. You don't remember taxpayers bailing out banks and corporations? did you not learn about the social programs that kept people alive after capitalism crashed in 1929? Don't be such a useful idiot. These are economic systems that should be treated objectively, like block and tackle, not revered or despised like religious beliefs.

Bail outs aren't a sign of capitalism, but of mercantilism. In a capitalist society the banks would have had to sink or swim on their own merit. Yes there were some benefits to people, mostly short term, from the New Deal. But not all was good, especially long term. It took WWII to pull us out of the depression.

It's debatable whether he has actually damaged anything at all.

In contrast, the Koch Brothers have. After creating a fortune from raising cattle on public lands, they have funded the war against any efforts to protect the environment (another enemy of profit). The Koch Brothers have been one of the most damaging influences on American politics, not to mention the resulting harm to the health and welfare of the American people.

So how does deprosecution and decarceration improve the human condition. Does rampant crime in minority communities harm plutocrats? Or does it harm the minorities who live in those communities.

The way you reference public lands you must not live in rural western America. Obama tried to take a chunk of land available for private ownership in AZ and make it public lands. Those who live in eastern states, where only a fraction of the land is public, or in urban environments, applauded the move. They couldn't understand why rural westerners were so angry and concluded we must just hate the environment. My State has about 12% of land available for private ownership. All else is government land. Out of the available for private ownership are steep mountains and deserts, are cities, towns, suburbs, and residential rural homes. Land suitable for grazing, which isn't in high demand for other uses, is slight. The only way beef can be kept in the grocery stores is for cattle to be grazed on public lands. Permits to do so aren't free. If the leftists and environmentalists want to remove millions of acres from private to public, why not volunteer eastern states instead of a state which has so little land available for private ownership.

But in any case, the Koch family didn't get wealthy off cattle but off oil.

I agree, although I would say the bombardment of misinformation agitates them and it's the critical but laborious explanations as to why the information is false is what put their little minds to sleep. We've both been called "long winded" because of this. I'm sure you've been accused of "bloviating" that's a popular word among the idiots on the right. It basically means they didn't read your post because it's too many words for them given their lack of interest in anything you have to say.

This has become a tactic on the right... the flood of misinformation. Another reason to cite social media as an enabler. There's an international alarm right now over this as media giants and their fact-checkers struggle to keep up with the volume of misinformation.

I think one significant component to the problem is that misinformation sells. Right wing commentary has been the most lucrative market for media content for years, largely because of it's appeal to emotion and because the emotional appeal itself lessens the need to actually make logical sense... so the content can be tailored for simple minds. The content can therefore be consumed quickly, while the emotional appeal creates an addiction that keeps the victims coming back for more.

I think our best hope is education. The more people understand about how systems work the less susceptible they will be to misinformation. Of course the American Right is already there trying to block that road, defunding public education with charter (corporate) schools and home school options where children are chained to the teachings of idiot parents.

Misinformation is a massive problem for which there is no easy answer.

And who gave those media giants and fact checkers the job of deciding what was acceptable information to be available for the masses? Even if it were true that constitutional conservatives are disseminating false information, it isn't the job of the media to decide what info is going to be allowed or not.

Explain how "misinformation is a massive problem?" What massive harm is caused by information which is out of line with an approved narrative? Will hearing opposing viewpoints cause people's heads to explode? Instead of either censoring the opposing viewpoint or telling people what they should believe, let people resolve the confusion of what is or isn't true for themselves.

Charter schools are public schools. Nor are district public schools defunded to pay for charter public schools. If a student's family moves from district A to district B, the money the government paid for that student goes from the district A school to the district B school he now attends. If he switches from a district public school to a charter public school, the money again follows the student. No one is being defunded. The emotional message that our schools are being defunded is believed by those too gullible to check facts for themselves or to base their conclusions on logic.

This doesn’t make any sense.
The Point of a Fascist state , is to have zero regulations.
And to not be regulated by Any government.
This makes me think you haven’t got a clue , as to , what you’re even talking about.

What fascist State has ever had zero, or even less regulation than the average? Did fascist NAZI Germany have less regulation? Did fascist Mussolini's Italy have less regulation? Those who believe you can have totalitarian systems through deregulation must have brains like pretzels. Do you also believe that rain causes drought and snow causes heat waves?

==================
For 8 years Trump has been harassed, lied at, prosecuted, deprived of his Constitutional rights, his Civil Rights. Despite of his great accomplishments for the people and this nation in general.

And all those harassing Trump are corrupt lawyers, while thieving the American taxpayers. Lawyers are experts in committing crimes and know how to cover-up while getting away from their crimes. They are all crooks.
Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Joe Biden.

While Trump is an excellent Economist. He had done great for the economy of this country; the lives of the American people are much better, in all aspect of their lives. They all enjoyed the freedom under our Constitution. He followed the principles of the Founders with freedom under God.

But now under Biden's Marxist government. The Constitution and Civil Rights of the American people are lost. We live like in a Communist country. First Amendment Rights taken away, attempting to take away the second. The 4th Amendment taken; the 15 Amendment taken. And all the Civil Rights of the Republicans are taken away.

What is a Civil Right by the way?
It is the right to be free. Freedom of speech, the freedom to worship as we choose, the right to vote for our elected representatives, the protections of due process, the right to privacy.

This administration rule like a Marxist with two-tiered system of Justice. They are all free to commit crimes against the innocent Republicans.

Check all their pe looters and thieves in all stores. They are free to kill, steal, and take away valuables of others they worked so hard for.

All stores in all blue cities and states are the victims. The Blacks ransacked, broke the entrance and inside of the building and take away all the valuable merchandise. For this year alone they have stolen $112 billion worth of merchandise. Thousands of stores all over the cities are closing. CVS alone are closing 900 stores. They are almost bankrupt. Walmart, Walgreens, Target, Nike, Macys, and so many others.

In Pennsylvania and Chicago are massive thieveries happening. All black thieves.

As Walmart shuts down four stores in crime-ridden Dem-led Chicago, DailyMail.com lists all the big box shops - from Macy's to Target - which have closed due to millions in losses from rampant thieves.

San Franciso, LA, Seattle, NYC, Baltimore, and all blue cities. The leaders allow their black people to commit crimes.

The innocent are the victims. We all suffer. When these stores lost due to these thieves, fewer supplies are available, and therefore inflation goes higher. We the innocent all suffer as a result.

This is not America anymore. Populated by criminals and wild people.
How did this end in America?

In addition, there are about 8,000 illegal invaders pouring into this country daily. Biden has invited 7.5 million illegals into this country since he came in in 2021. Criminals, terrorists, drug dealers, convicts, rapists, human traffickers.

Tons of fentanyl drugs brought inside, and other kinds of drugs, the products of these stupid dumb Hispanics running away from their tyrannic Socialist leaders. They don't fight. They come to America to sell their drugs and commit crimes.

They don't care about their children. They bait them to human traffickers to dump them at the border so that the US patrol pick them up. then the parents follow and claim for their kids to live with them. These kids are raped several times by the dealers. Parents don't care. What kind of people are they? Worse than animals.

This is the administration of Joe Biden, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton.

That attitude that Milosa is referring to is conservative and yes, it was far more popular in the 40's than it is now. I also find myself wondering why any woman would be proud to be Republican. Every effort made by the American people to give women rights has been bitterly opposed by conservative culture which today is riding on the back of the Republican Party. It seems the GOP is still working hard to make sure women never leave the 40's.
