A question for all of you conservatives. Do you oppose Medicare? Do you wish it was completely rescinded? It is, of course, the mother of all federal programs, and all of you are or will be on it someday. I assume you all wish it was eliminated and our seniors would be on their own. Am I right? How come even Tea Party candidates do not campaign on eliminating it?
First off, "The American Medical Association," (AMA) is a private organization that decides how many doctor licenses will be allowed each year,
In 2013, they only allowed thirteen new doctor licenses for the whole country.
That did not even replace the number of doctors that retired that year.
You tell me, what right does the AMA have to decide how many doctor licenses will be issued.
What act of legislation was passed to give them that authority.
There are hundreds, if not thousands of people, nation wide, that have completed their education and intern-ship and have every right to take their test and get their licenses. What gives the AMA the right to say no?
They have spent the money to get educated, they have loans to pay back, they have done their time working under an established doctor and or hospital. What gives a private organization the right to tell them no, we're not scheduling any more tests, so you can't pass them to get your licence.
For years the AMA refused to admit that they were limiting licenses. Once pushed, then they admitted it and made the excuse that it's about having high standards and only letting the best have a license.
But, they pass plenty of doctors that are quacks and get people killed, all you have to do is look at the law suits against these idiots, to know they're idiots.
So then they said, it's to keep the salaries high for their members, because, it costs a lot to go through medical school and they need to be compensated.
They never talk about the other people who are just as qualified and have spent just as much time and money on the medical education as their members, but, they have been refused the opportunity to even take the exam for their licences, what about them...........Crickets......Nothing.....No response!
If you know any thing about economics, what happens when you create a shortage..............................whatever the shortage is, it goes up in demand and that inflates the price of the goods or service.
It also explains why waiting rooms in emergency wards are always full.
What do you expect to happen when you keep the number of doctors below what's needed?

Then there are things like the, "Cost of Doing Business."
I come from an area that has a lot of marinas. (boat yards and dockage)
The real money in marinas are in new boat sales and slip rentals.
The carpenter and mechanic shops barley break even, if they make anything at all.
So every time a new owner, buys a marina, the first thing they think they're going to do is shut down the carpenter and mechanic shops. They imagine all those business expenses will now stay in their pockets.
The problem is, after a person buys a boat and rents a slip, they sort of want to use the boat. If it stops running or needs a repairs, they want it fixed so they can use it. That's why they bought it.
Do you know what happens when a person spends a lot of money on something they can't use. They get rid of it or they go some place else.
The end result is, that the marina had better provide those services, because if it doesn't, it will go out of business. Because in a free market it you don't pay attention to your business, someone else will and they will provide what you won't.
The purpose of this story, is to compare it with the attitude some drug companies.
They will have a drug that people need, but, they don't make enough money on it to suit themselves. So they take it off the market.
In a free capitalistic market, that's not a problem, because a smaller company that needs the revenue will pick up the slack and they will provide it.
But, what's happening in America? A company that stops producing a needed drug will get the governments help to stop anyone else from producing it. Whether they cite patents or whatever the government will help the drug companies keep other companies from producing the drug.
The government will go even further and stop American citizens from buying that drug from another country.
After the drug companies create the problem by taking a needed drug off the market, then the government will step in and take taxpayer money to subsidize it, giving the drug companies they're big profits, right out of the tax payers pocket.
There-by, rewarding their bad behaviour.
What do you think this kind of madness does to the cost of drugs?

Then we have a Constitutional commerce clause that is supposed to generate and maintain free trade between the states, but, if you have a good insurance policy that you like and can afford, but, it comes from another state, it is the state and federal governments that stop you from purchasing that policy or stops you from being able to use it in the state your in.
This creates an insurance monopoly in each state.
What happens to price or selection the instant you have a monopoly?

While were on the subject of health care. All medical facilities have to follow the rules and regulation set down by the government and all of it's agencies and departments.
A few years ago my brother was working for a company that stripped out an entire floor in a hospital. The project was worth several million dollars.
Every thing they ripped out was new enough that most of the cabinets were scratch free and showed no sign of wear. They ripped the whole floor apart and then put everything back, exactly the way it was. The same floor plan. The same cabinets. The same equipment. Every thing looked exactly like it did when they started except everything was brand new. But it wasn't like the stuff they threw away was old.
My brother made friends with the manager and in the end asked him.....why?
The manager said they have to follow the rules and a certain amount of money is allotted for up grading and by law they have to spend it whether they need to or not.
Even though that money could have been used to help people who needed it, the law says you can't, so they don't.
This is your government at work and only companies that survive on government contracts and subsidies can act this way.
A private company can't throw away money like that.

The problems are well known, as are the solutions to them.
The problem is that we have a bunch of know-nothing citizens like yourself, that don't have a clue.
All we get from you, is this emotional constipation, that's based on nothing!
Everything is conservative this or conservative that, conservatives don't care....ect...ect...ect...
Nothing is based on reality, simple math or common sense.
