In conversation with Emily yesterday we discussed the real brains we are privileged to share in their ideas althoughly I'm mostly on the receiving end.

Mike,
There are some really intelligent OPPers that I really enjoy.
We all have the ability to share our thoughts.

This name calling etc is uncalled for.

Everyone has the right to express their thoughts and analysis.
If and when we become a communist country we could be arrested and imprisoned like in North Korea and probably China.

Probably not. Ram was a student. He wasn’t political at this time. He was in his twenties being offered a scholarship. Can’t blame him.
Let’s say, (hypothetically) when I was offered a wrestling scholarship for college they ran out of money and a booster came along and said (hypothetically) they’d give me the money “under the table”; would I have taken it? YES (hypothetically).

I really like Vivek...the main problem with this association is him just not saying basically what you did. No doubt he's sorry now, but by changing his story, it looks bad. But then again he's a political novice. You don't see the media digging up the distant past, (or even current policies) where Democrat-Communists are concerned

When I look back over the past 7 or 8 years, what I see is a president who, against the most vicious personal and political destruction campaign ever waged on an American president, did his level best for our country.

No need to list his accomplishments while he was in office, nor could I even begin to document the attacks he endured 24/7/365 starting on the day he won the nomination. And through it all, he thumbed his nose at them, he flipped them the bird and forged ahead in his mission to make America great again. Then came a man made bioweapon followed immediately by an unconstitutional, purely evil vote fraud scheme that ended his presidency. And still, he fought on.

And even after 100 indictments for crimes he never committed, there he is, still standing in defiance of the socialist juggernaut, he is still flipping the bird at partisan prosecutors, unconstitutional SCs, activist judges, at perfectly groomed and selected grand juries, and at the MSM.

I have to agree with people like Mark Levin, Dan Bongino, Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, and others who realize Donald Trump is just the bullseye on a much larger target - We the People of the United States, the ones who voted for him, supported him, cheered him for what he was doing for us and our country, we are the target, along with our Constitution, our Bill of Rights, our system of Justice, our national security and ultimately our American way of life.

I'll put it this way, if Donald Trump spends even one day behind bars, it won't be just him in jail. Guilt by association.

Any one man who can weather a shitstorm of Biblical proportions -- who can be dragged over the coals ten thousand times, be villified, condemned, demonized, tested, impeached, investigated, harassed, accused of every crime in the books and some cooked up to fit the occasion, indicted, cheated, compared to Hitler and Satan --

Any mortal man who can come through that and remain standing strong in total defiance of our most dangerous enemy, is, in my estimation, the man who has the best chance of getting our nation back on the right track.

I lost faith in DeSantis, and I don't fully trust a Hindu who never served a day in public office and made his millions in bio-technology only to see the company dissolve after a pharmaceutical it was pushing failed clinical tests.

And the guy didn't even vote in the 2008, 2012, or 2016 presidential elections. Now, out of nowhere in particular, he appears on stage doing a hell of lot of talking but with no experience to back him up. Ramaswamy is talking a good game, but is he just saying what people want to hear? Is he making promises, like politicians always do, and will he work to fulfill them like Trump did? Will he be able to withstand the attacks that will come? Or will he falter and fail?

Bottom line, I'd rather have a mean, fiery mouthed warrior leading our country than a silver tongued elocutionist whose libertarian leanings are troublesome and whose leadership qualities are questionable.
When I look back over the past 7 or 8 years, what ... (show quote)

Bravo! Well said.

Have to admit, IMO Ramaswamy is knocking it out of the park, followed closely by DeSantis. Every time that a-hole Christy comes on I switch the channel.

Well it narrowed the field for me. If Trump CAN'T (and he's aging fast now) DeSantis, Ramaswamy, Scott and Haley..the rest can forget it. I want to hear a lot more.

The only thing that concerns me is he received funds from Soros.
He's tried to cover this up.

I'm worried. Ramaswamy is a great talker...reminds me a bit about Obama when he first ran...nothing to do with color..plus..is it true he accepted money from Soros? AMERICA FIRST

George Soro's brothers foundation.
$90 k scholarship in law school.
So, it really, apparently, wasn't funds directly from George Soro's as I understand it.

You can Google and read a lot about Vivek Ramaswamy.
He apparently didn't need the funds from Paul Soros.

Okie, the name callings are metaphorical bullets fired in both the political and spiritual war America is fighting. They're a great substitute for the real thing yet the real thing is a very real possibility to restore the Republic. Is it worth it? I think so. So far as listening to and sharing differing thoughts, that sounds so glaringly reasonable on the surface. My personal opinion though is that compromise is neither desired nor practical for the ideologies in which we find extreme differences between the traditional Christian/American morals and values of the Conservatives Right and the moral relativism of the Democrat Left. We are at impass, incompatible, irreconcilable differences.

You have the blessings of the Peacemaker.
