If true, this is a somewhat lame way for Prigozhin to go out. Vlad did a lot of collateral damage.

Not me, not on this one. This was similar to a Mafia hit in an American Gangster movie. You knew Putin would get him. You just did not know when and how. Initial reports, which granted are likely wrong, said witnesses heard an explosion and the plane came down in two pieces.
So likely either a bomb went off on the plane, or it was shot down.

US intelligence believes there was a bomb aboard the plane. There was no heat signature of a missile. The wing I believe was found two miles from the crash site.
