No it was because He claimed to be God in the flesh before the Sanhedrin who were the leaders of the Jewish faith and they ruled over Jewish law. Jesus rebuked them for their corruption of changing God's laws to fit man's idea of what it should be and they hated Him. He was crucified because of these people, not because of Rome law. Pontius Piliot gave them a choice whether to put Jesus to death and they chose death.

Wow what a bunch of crap.

The far right in this country, like many of you on here, believe in white nationalism and/or that you are the only “true” Christians in the country, and many of these groups embrace nazism which is pretty damn close to fascism. It’s actually fascism with a solid dose of racism mixed in. How often today do we see far right white nationalist groups using the swastika as their emblem?

You need to expand your information resource base Padre! But let’s take your points one at a time here!

• Liberal academics explain origins through evolution. Jesus explained it by the Creator.
Science proves evolution. God would absolutely have programmed evolution into his creation! Just because the Bible simplifies things so people of the time might be able to understand it in no way proves that evolution is not a fact or that God did not program this ability into everything living he created. To say that evolution is false is to say that God erred in his creation. The Bible never mentions splitting the atom or why we still have an appendix now either, does it?

• Liberals are pro-homosexuality. Jesus was not pro-homosexuality.
Liberals are not “pro-homosexuality”. Liberals are pro letting people be who they want to be within the law and keeping their noses out of other peoples business. Conservatives want everyone to be exactly what they think they should be according to their personal religious beliefs. Conservative simply lack empathy and compassion for those that are different from them, and hate the fact that this country was built on the concept of separation of church and state.

• Liberals believe in government handouts as the solution to poverty. Jesus said that people should work and take care of themselves.
Liberals don’t believe in handouts but do believe in safety nets and helping others rise to achieve their best. Jesus believed the same. Liberals don’t mind paying more taxes for the overall betterment of society and the world in general. Conservatives today seem only interested in enriching themselves and enhancing their power over others. Two quick examples: reasonable gun control laws, reasonable abortion laws that don’t endanger the life of the mother, both have 2/3ds or better popular support but the conservatives in government refuse to allow anything to move.

• Liberals are about killing the unborn. Jesus said the unborn are the creation of God.
Nope, liberals do not want to kill the unborn, they want that choice to be made between a woman, her family and her doctor. Conservatives want all abortion to be illegal. Look how well that is doing today in Texas!

• Liberals deny and mock God's word. Jesus said that his word would live forever.
Just what words are liberals denying and mocking? Conservatives do at least as much of this as liberals. But Conservatives can then pray, ask God for forgiveness, and all will be fine again. Can’t Liberals do the same? Just where does the Bible say that moderate Christian religions are not as “Christian” as fervent ones. Prove that the far right of the southern Baptists is any more “Christian” in the eyes of God than the United Methodists are.

• Liberals believe that a lie is justified by the good they imagine will come of it. Jesus said that a man is to live by truth in all things.
Oh my goodness, you want to bring up lying??? And you are still a Trump lover spreading his lies weekly on here! What a friggin joke!

• Liberal socialism believes that government is God. Jesus said that he is God.
Well I don’t know about the socialism part but Liberals sure as hell don’t believe that government is God. They believe that government is law created by society and that God and government should not mix, but God and society is free to mix as it pleases. Kinda what our government was based upon, separation of church and state. I think you learned all that in the 4th or 5th grade Padre.

• Liberal policy denies the use of natural resources. Jesus said God gave us resources to use.
Total bullshit! Liberal policies believe in the wise use of natural resources not the destruction of those resources for greed and wealth for a few at the expense of the many. There are many old gold mines in this country that used mercury or arsenic or other nasty chemicals in their mining process that made a few men rich and produced 1 to 10 or so million dollars in gold or other precious metals that are now costing us hundreds of millions to clean up the toxic mess left behind and reclaim these areas. God gave us resources to use wisely for the benefit of all, not to waste and fulfill man’s greed. Sunlight, wind and geothermal are all natural resources given to us by God too. Where does the Bible say that oil is a better natural resource to use than sunlight?
