I found it amusing how only ' Dad ' was brainwashed by Conservative ideas. Everyone else in the family and the greater circle of friends remained Liberal. Poor ' Dad '. So isolated from the good non brainwashed people around him.

I loved the old film clips of ' Dad 'when he was not brainwashed. He was younger. Then you see brainwashed ' Dad ' as this very elderly man who cannot speak well and seems possibly mentally diminished. The way the first 7 minutes present it is as if Talk Radio transformed this younger pleasant man into this old bitter shell of what he had once been. Then the reports of other families with similar brainwashed transformed men into bitter shells of their former selves. 9 minutes was about all I cared to sit through.

Those 9 minutes felt like I was viewing a Cold War propaganda film from the early 1950s.

The thing you need to recognize is that at least 2 generations have been subjected to the same type of brainwashing..FROM THE MARXIST LEFT. Back in the early 50s the communist party said [u]text[u,]"they would take over America without firing a single shot" Then Hollywood, reeling from the damage from the Mc Carthy (not the same one and no relstion) hearings going after hollywood.... began taking over America with the Marxist plan...get to the chidren! THEY DID (through schools, tv, movies, toys..etc.) Those of us who were born after the war, and were too young to know about communism and marxism..grew up pretty happy and innocent. When we had kids we thought everything was the same. We didn't know what was in their schoolbooks and being taught day after day...We didnt know, we were too lazy and trusted our teachers and politicians!! THEN THE WORLD STARTED CHANGING...President Kennedy was assassinated, Vietnam was taking our husband's, brothers and friends. Kennedy's VP Johnson(who may have had the CIA arrange for the assassination) made it even worse. Black Panthers, civil rights marches, Bill Ayers a communist leader involved in the phony "kidnapping"of Patty Hearst (who got out of jail and became a professor at Harvard)and war protests...and then Hollywood elites like JANE FONDA(who was not alone.) sided with the communists, IN HANNOI.
Since then we have stuck our noses into the affairs of every other Country. THATS WHEN WE BECAME THE ARROGANT COUNTRY WE ARE...under total democrat rule. Reagan tried to turn it back around...but the damage was done. Since then we have either been ruled by democrats or globalist RINOS....UNTIL TRUMP. A lot of us, realizing what happened to our country, and wanting our country back, got behind him. It could have been great if two things had happened 1) he hadn't been such a childish, name calling, egotistical narcissist, and 2) The left...led by Hillary Clinton (a good friend of Bill Ayers and Jane Fonda and the rest) led and paid for the PHONY ATTACKS AGAINST TRUMP....and with OBAMA, AND BIDEN participating fully.
Your dad saw all of this (and this is just the highlights) and may have reacted strongly, like many of us. BUT THOSE NOW CONTROLLING OUR LIVES HAVE CONTINUED TO BRAINWASH OUR CHILDREN, and marginalize, cancel, insult and destroy those who want our lives back...free from attack by those who rule. NOW it's even getting out of their control...with rainbow flags flying at our white house and embassies, our children being mutilated, trafficked and turned into homeless drug addicts, our borders WIDE OPEN. We give more money away to keep other countries on the same path as we. More than they spend on our own country...borrowed from our enemies who have bought our country and politicians. I have said much more than I should. (But I'm not suicidal) But forgive your father for recognizing what had happened is happening and loving you, wanting much better for you. I blame my generation for our ignorance and laziness in not stopping our country from becoming "Lord of the Flies". If you haven't seen it...do so.
