They’ve had the smaller ones for a long time but now they’re putting up some monstrous ones we call the eagle slayer 3. These things have about one hundred forty foot blades. They’re so large they have police escort on the narrow roads.

Just took a trip from east Texas to the pan handle and was amazed at how many of these eagle killers were up and how many more are being put together, several large cranes within view and parts laying next to the highway.

I’m not sure about the oldest but the first one I saw was at Sweetwater. Meanwhile Texas flairs more natural gas than is used because it’s a byproduct of the petroleum they need to make plastic and many other chemicals. It’s just burned off because of the lack of pipelines.

Not All Texans Deny Climate Change AF. There are plenty of us who accept that some of the concerns are real concerning climate change. I see nothing wrong with scaling back our dependance on fossil fuels. I would like to see a return to looking for new wells for both oil and NG in Texas. (for purely personal reasons, My family has had many leases from mineral rights both oil and NG and any extra income from profits are always welcome.) We need to slowly wean our selves from fossil fuels not blindly rush headlong into total "green economy". Other methods for alternate energy sources are all good and need to be continued.
