I remember fondly the days when a person could buy a gun at a yard sale.
I got a few that way.

Still can in the great state of Texas.

Because it is. It is time consuming, getting all of your ducks in a row. Then if the States and Feds are too lazy to prosecute the bad guys, then all you are doing is harassing the good guys.
Why won't your people prosecute the bad guys ?

You used to be able to buy them out of magazines. But the Democrats said the post office wasn’t safe

Doesn’t it smack of hypocrisy that Joe Biden, himself a gun owner, wants to take away guns from normal Americans?
Nope because he doesn’t want to take guns away from normal Americans. He would like a universal background checks to keep weapons out of the hands of the insane and criminals. My state has had it for years and I have no problem buying a gun because I do not have any felony convictions. It works as smooth as silk.
The GOP has lied about every Democratic president saying they were going to take guns away, but they never do. You would think after being prove wrong so many time people would quit listening to them.

All of this is just another way to take guns away from the very people who would stop tyranny.

Good question. perhaps we need to ID which "bad guys " Do you have any idea how to do that? How do we get the guns from the bad guys?

DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You start when you catch the bad guys like Hunter Biden. He and everyone else who intentionally puts false information on a gun form, need to do hard time. This ain't rocket science. You must stop giving everybody a break.
And I am just getting started. The other big gun crime that almost never gets fully prosecuted is straw buying of firearms. If Grandma buys a gun for her crack head grandson who has a record, Grandma needs to go to the hoosegow. I know, I know you think I am full of horse manure, but I ain't.
https://www.wcpo.com/news/local-news/i-team/gun-straw-buyers-rarely-prosecuted-despite-crackdown-on-illegal-guns" " I think you have to have public officials take this more seriously," said Dr. Daniel W. Webster, Director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Policy and Research in Baltimore. "Cracking down and sending a message on illegal straw-purchasers is really central, in my opinion, to ultimately having long-term sustainable reductions in gun violence." "

The only "paperwork" I need is the 2nd Amendment.
