Trump expressed a desire to date his daughter. He cheated on his first wife with his second wife and had a child out of wedlock with that same wife. He cheated on his second wife with his third wife and tried to hide his affairs with Stormy Danials and Karen McDougal, an ex-playboy bunny. I brought up Bill Clinton because he was a moral pig who cheated on his wife in and out of the White House who I refused to vote for. Now, if you want to engage in an intellectual discussion on the search for moral truths, then we must leave politics, politicians and political prejudices out of this and focus on the five fields of knowledge that must be applied in realizing truth - Metaphysics, Epistemology, Ethics, Anthropology, and Theology.

Metaphysics is the branch of philosophy that deals with first principles, abstract concepts, such as being, knowing, substance, cause, identity, time and space.
Epistemology is the theory of knowledge with regard to its methods, validity, and scope, and is the investigation of what distinguishes justified belief from opinion.
Ethics is the branch of knowledge that deals with moral principles.
Anthropology is the study of human societies, cultures and their development, and human biological and physiological characteristics and their evolution.
Theology is the study of God and religious beliefs and theories when systematically developed.
Omit any one of these and any search for truth will fail.

Truth, Peter, is the most powerful weapon in the world, and love is the supreme ethic.

Having said all this, I doubt you have the intellectual acumen to pursue a discussion on a search for moral truth,
in fact, I know you can't do it simply because it involves theology, and that is a field of knowledge you abhor.

So, I'll leave you with this question: How in the world does time plus matter plus chance with a non-moral beginning emerging from primordial slime and through amoral processes over eons of time end up with moral reasoning?

IOW, if we are nothing more than the random product of chemistry and physics in motion, then we have no intrinsic worth. Our worth, our value, is then determined by an extrinsic philosophy, such as the state.

I never knew much about Donald Trump before he entered the race for POTUS.
I never watched The Apprentice, I'm not a fan of beauty pageants, and back then, wealthy men were not on my radar.
I never knew Trump had 3 wives, or even any children. That all came to light for me after he was nominated.
I didn't watch the GOP debates (no TV) other than catching bits and pieces on youtube or on TV at my sister's home.
He wasn't my first choice for POTUS.

Then, when he won the nomination, I had no choice.
I didn't vote for Donald Trump, I voted against Hillary.
I would have voted for any of the GOP candidates, even Jeb Bush.
At that time, the morality of the GOP candidates wasn't even on my mind,
but now that you got me thinking about it, it's the difference between the morals of a Boy Scout
and those of a wicked witch.

On that score, you are correct. I prayed to God that Hillary Rotten Clinton wouldn't come to power.
