I thought the guy at the computer store recognized the significance of the laptop and cloned (copied) the hard drive in question? Should be a copy of it. If the clone and the original both looked tampered, should be easy to tell.

I saw it in a printed tome awhile ago and yes, if it's fabricated should be ignored. But I expect the Demonrats would

Back in the old days in the 40's, 50's and 60's, the parties they competed in an honorable way. I was fine with that even as a kid. When Kennedy was elected, I was cool with that in grade school. When he got assassinated we all bowed our heads in the Catholic grade school class and told to pray. This was in a Republican bastion that voted for Goldwater. I was in 2nd grade and didn't know what the hell was going on. I hated that Saturday morning cartoons were interrupted with his funeral "chit".

But now the Demonrats are in full country-wide domination time. But...... I think their time is going to come in the next election and they should prepare for it in "salvage" mode!

Yup, Nixon was a disaster. He was slated to win because the voters had a distaste for McGovern's "walk away from Vietnam" deal. That was a minority view at the time. The U.S. helped win WW1, WW2 and won the armistice in Korea. The voting masses didn't like that idea of bailing out of Vietnam without a deal or a win in spite of the war protests. I think McGovern only won his home state in the election.

Nixon actually won the election fair and square by a landslide. If Watergate didn't happen or never occurred, Nixon would be held in very high regard by historians and people in this day and age from what he did accomplish in office. I read where he was a very paranoid person. That probably led to Watergate.

Watergate has to stand out as one of the biggest political mistakes in history. NIxon would have won anyways without it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Spiro Agnew resigned for "tax evasion" but was actually taking bribes throughout his political career. Nixon replaced him with Gerald Ford.
