And why?

I, Tom Raddatz, fully support exposing and obliterating child sex trafficking, therefore I do support the movie and think everyone should watch it.

(Disclaimer: I do not, however, support the religion of the Mormons (LDS) who were involved in making the film, but that is a different topic).

God’s children are NOT for sale!

The movie gets standing ovations in the theatre. How rare is that?

Anything opposed by CNN, MSNBC & Rolling Stone has to have something going for it.

Haven’t seen the movie…….but know what it’s about. This is about protecting our children from the vast evil in-the world. The devil is cheering for the ones against this . The ones that are shouting about gender affirming health care….which it is not.

Mormons own the studio but were not involved in making the movie.
Angel Studios in Provo, UT provides a service for movie makers, and obviously the producers of "Sound of Freedom" were not about to contract with a major Hollyweird studio to make this movie.

Angel Studios also provided the service for the wonderful video series "The Chosen", the producer and director of which is Catholic.

The "Sound of Freedom" was produced by Mexican producer and actor Eduardo Verástegui who also plays a role in the movie and was directed and co-written by Mexican film maker, Alejandro Monteverde. Both men are Catholics.
In fact, Monteverde is considering running for president of Mexico.

Thanks for the expanded details.

For the record, I was referring to this…

“…Neal Harmon, along with his brother, Jeff Harmon, founded Angel Studios in 2021. With brothers Daniel and Jordan Harmon, they created VidAngel, the predecessor of Angel Studios, in 2014. According to Deseret News, the streaming service that allowed users to remove content they found objectionable from Hollywood movies and TV shows “attracted enough customers and irritated enough Hollywood studios that a court issued a preliminary injunction ordering it to stop its streaming service.” https://www.mormonwiki.com/Angel_Studios

“My Faith. I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I’m also known as a Mormon. I served a mission in Mexico for a two years (no, not as a job…as a volunteer…I saved half the money myself and my grandfather helped pay the other half). The Mexican people took such great care of me. Prayer and the scriptures provide the greatest source guidance in all of my life.” https://www.nealharmon.net/about/

I don’t begrudge Mormons working with others on projects like this or others working with Mormons on such projects. That is why I support the movie! Take my disclaimer for what it is, nothing more or less.

Your disclaimer is deceiving.

You said you do not support the religion of the Mormons (LDS) "who were involved in making the movie".
The statement in quotes needs clarification.

The producers of "Sound of Freedom" contracted with Angel Studios to use the studio's resources,
they did not bring the Harmon brothers into the writing or production of the movie.

On Timothy Ballard “After growing up in California, Ballard attended Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah.[10] As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he went on a church mission to Chile and then graduated cum laude from BYU with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and political science.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timothy_Ballard

So are you denying that Timothy Ballard was “involved in making the movie” being as he was the one being portrayed in the movie?

“Sound of Freedom was inspired by the work of Tim Ballard, the founder of Operation Underground Railroad, or O.U.R.,[6] an anti-trafficking activist. Work on the script began in 2015.[1] Ballard had personally requested that Jim Caviezel portray him because he was affected by Caviezel's role in The Count of Monte Cristo (2002).[7][8]” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_of_Freedom_(film)

So if the show was based on Ballard’s life, and he could personally request who played his character, how is that not involvement in making the movie?

What is your axe to grind?

Are you Mormon?

Personally, I will not join LDS although there are certain incentives.
Personally, If you, as an adult decide to join with LDS and bring your family up that way, it's fine.

I will see the movie tomorrow at 10:15 am and will proceed to my fav brew house to contemplate the greatness of Jim Caviezel..... a person of interest!
