Some on OPP question why we conservatives care about the transgender movement.

The Gay Pride movement is not new. From the beginning of life in America people worked hard to achieve equal justice and equal opportunity for all Americans including specific minority groups. As a result of these efforts, black and brown people are now recognized as human beings and women are allowed to vote. Despite the words "all men are created equal" in our Declaration of Independence, Americans are still engaged in an ongoing struggle for equal rights and opportunities. In every case the struggle is initially met with denial by certain groups. This time is no different. People who identify as white, Christian Republicans seem to be showing the most resistance.

If you think you can demand acceptance for those that openly participate in repulsive, deviant, behavior you will be disappointed. Best to keep it suppressed. Only your friends need to know. Certainly, you will do yourself a favor by keeping quiet about your lifestyle with work associates.

What this drag queen/trans movement is, is a slap in the face to women. Taking over women's sports is a slap in the face to women. Spying on them in women's locker rooms and female bathrooms is a slap in the face to women. "Dressing up like women", but looking like clowns is a slap in the face to women. It is the biggest put-down of women that has ever happened in recent times!
If you claim to be a woman, as you have done here on OPP, DASHY, you should be ashamed of yourself for supporting this movement.
And if men respect women at all, they should fight this movement as if it were attacking their mothers, wives, sisters and daughters!

Would you vote for someone who promises the least? Trump has only HIMSELF in mind.
That is a subjective opinion of your and others on the left. Not substantiated in the least. But even if true, so what? Do you really honestly think JOE BIDEN is thinking of what is best for you or America in general??????
The ideal President isn't a sob sister who 'feels your pain'....it is someone who wants to lead America to be the best, with him at the top......for eight years. What we have is some one who wants to manipulate America for the sake of his party, and not the people.

Liar. You are being deliberately deceitful. Christians have always led the battle against racism and discrimination. Not all supposed Christians, but Christian men and women. Democrats have ALWAYS been at the forefront of discrimination and unequal justice.

My friends and associates accept people for who they are and support efforts to demand equal justice and equal opportunity. It is alright to be friends with folks who have gay pride.

The gay pride movement is here to stay. Maybe you're hanging out with the wrong crowd if you are being attacked by drag queens in locker rooms and female bathrooms.

If Trump is still your hero, he might be trying to lead America from his jail cell next to Stewart Rhodes.

I don’t accept people for who they are if they are criminals or deviants. I respect the rights of adult deviants to pursue their happiness, fully recognizing that their are always underlying psych problems. In the trans case, generally I will not play along with their charade. For the most part the deviants get equal justice and opportunity. I would suspect that a flagrant trans women will not do well in conservative corporate America, but best of luck.
On the whole, these folks are statistics. When one is in close proximity they become a tragedy. They need help, not affirmation.

Hating Gays is part of the MAGA package. Homophobia is part of MAGA-style populism, and always will be. In states controlled by Republicans, they're making it harder and harder to simply exist as a queer person.

But you make an exception when you accept Trump and his deviant pals. Your hero is facing at least 19 legal actions, about half of which allege improper conduct during his presidency.

You’re being deliberately obtuse. No one mentioned being attacked
If you and your friends wish to disrespect women and support porn for children that is your choice. Don’t expect others to do the same.
‘Homophobia’ is a word used by the intellectually dishonest.

I think it was EmilyD who was attacked in a female bathroom.
