Verse of the Day
for Tuesday, May 9th, 2023

And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost: so that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.
-- 1 Thessalonians 1:6-7

Thoughts on Today's Verse...
The cycle of faithfulness is illustrated in this passage. The Lord is our great example. People of faith model the Lord's character and passion to us. We then live that life of faith as an example to others. In other words, the Gospel is more than words! The Gospel is the good news of Jesus taking root in the life of a person until the fruit it bears is enough of an example of the Lord that someone else sees it and begins to live it, too! The Gospel is both caught and taught!

My Prayer...
Holy God, thank you for making your character known both in Scripture and in human flesh through Jesus. Through your Holy Spirit, I ask that you form in me the character of Christ so that others may see Jesus in my example and live for him. In the precious name of the Savior Jesus I pray. Amen.

Verse of the Day
for Wednesday, May 10th, 2023

and that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
-- 2 Timothy 3:15

Thoughts on Today's Verse...
From infancy! If you had a godly mom or dad who brought you into the world surrounded by faith in Jesus, stories from the Bible, and lullabies of faith, praise God and thank them. If you didn't, then make a commitment that your children and grandchildren will be given this head start in life. Yes, personal faith will be won in adolescence and adulthood, but being surrounded by faith in infancy is such a great head start. To fill a child's world with love, hope, faith, and promise because of Jesus is one of the greatest gifts a parent can give!

My Prayer...
Holy and attentive Father, I thank you for the incredible gift of believing parents. I pray that more of us who do believe will actively share our faith with our children. Please make my family and my life a place where children and grandchildren can find it easy to believe and safe to rejoice in Jesus. In his precious name, I praise and thank you. Amen.

WHO decides
May 11, 2023

The World Health Organization (WHO) has joined Joe Biden in declaring an end to the COVID 19 pandemic. WHO has closed a chapter in one of the worst managed pandemics in world history where mandated treatments arguably resulted in more deaths than COVID would have caused without them. Effective treatments were forbidden. Doctors were censored and lost their jobs, Big pharma made billions with unproven, unsafe and ineffective vaccines. Government and business advanced propaganda vilifying anyone who refused the vaccines, and today refuse to admit that vaccine side effects are greater than any and all vaccines combined. WHO made this mess that will last generations.

The fifteenth meeting of the International Health Regulations (2005) (IHR) Emergency Committee regarding the coronavirus 2019 disease (COVID-19) pandemic, was held on Thursday 4 May 2023. It was at that meeting that WHO Director-General, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus concurred “with the advice offered by the Committee regarding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. He determines that COVID-19 is now an established and ongoing health issue which no longer constitutes a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC).” That’s the obvious good news. The bad news in the same WHO announcement is that Ghebreyesus is going to convene the International Health Regulations Review Committee to advise on recommendations for the long-term management of the virus.

The two-year WHO strategic preparedness and response plan is titled “From Emergency Response to Long-Term COVID-19 Disease Management: Sustaining gains made during the COVID-19 Pandemic.” In the forward to the plan, Ghebreyesus writes: “In the wake of so much loss and disruption we must now restore, reinforce and strengthen health systems– which have been devastated –while sustaining the gains made during the pandemic. We must also continue to integrate COVID-19 surveillance and management into that for other respiratory diseases. WHO will continue supporting Member States as they make these adjustments.” Key words are “reinforce and strengthen health systems,” “integrate COVID-19 surveillance,” and “continue supporting Member States.” Given what the United States went through under WHO directives, no life is safe.

health systems, the Centers for Disease Control and WHO guidance mandated remdesivir and ventilator treatments with high death rates. They monitored whether you took the vaccine, and to control where you could go, what you could buy, and who you could see if you were unvaccinated. This “surveillance” was oppressive and tyrannical. The idea that WHO would continue to support member states by issuing more mandates and surveillance, and that America’s CDC would submit to it, is frightening. Their power is suffocating—quarantining healthy people, locking down entire nations. As like in Ezekiel 22:27, WHO’s “princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.” WHO cannot be allowed to decide your health for you.
Resist!

Have a Blessed and Powerful day!

Verse of the Day
for Saturday, May 13th, 2023

Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; Keep the door of my lips.
-- Psalm 141:3

Thoughts on Today's Verse...
How important is our speech? Jesus said it revealed what was going on in our hearts. Proverbs repeatedly tells us that our words can wound and destroy or heal and bring life. The apostle Paul commands us to speak only what will benefit those who hear us. In light of these Scriptures, David's prayer in today's verse is very appropriate. Only God can help us tame our speech and use its power to bless. Let's invite him into our world of speech by purifying our hearts and taking control of what we say so we can use our speech for the good of those around us!

My Prayer...
Holy and righteous Father, I never want my language to betray you or wound others. Please help me as I seek to redeem my speech and use it to glorify you, bless your children, and speak of salvation with those who do not know your Son as their Savior and Lord. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Israel was to be a servant people, and a blessing unto all nations.
Slapping never ending "debt" through usury is not a blessing.
Revelation 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie;
behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
Matthew 7:18 - A good tree can't produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.
****************************
Judah is one of 12 tribes of Israel. A Race (Hebrew)
Judaism is a religion (Torah/Old Testament and Talmudic/Babylonian Rabinism)
Jews are also a nationality (Nation of Israeli)
All categories attempt to claim they are the chosen people. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Many hide behind that claim. Most fundamentalist Christian churches don't teach the differences, and fall for that charade.
Hence, we have impotent churches, and ignorant Christians, that are not aware of the enemies of God/Yahweh within our nation.
Think about who has been trying to drive God out of public education and the public square?
Atheists? Who do you think these atheists are?
The ACLU and the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) for starters.

Verse of the Day
for Monday, May 15th, 2023

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
-- Luke 19:10

Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Jesus came so that the last could be first, the sick could be healed, the sinners could be saved, and the lost could be found. That was his purpose: to fix that which was broken — not just what is broken in us, but also all that is broken in our world, all humanity that is warped, and all that is lost that goes with this brokenness. So how can we wear the name of Jesus, the Son of Man who is our Savior, and not live with his passion and purpose toward what we see lost in our world?

My Prayer...
O loving Father and Almighty God, I yearn for your Spirit to stir a holy passion in your people, especially in me, so that we may more nearly reflect Jesus' purpose in our lives, families, and churches. I pray in Jesus' name, the Son of Man who came to save me. Amen.

Verse of the Day
for Tuesday, May 16th, 2023

Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, When it is in the power of thine hand to do it. -- Proverbs 3:27

Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Rather than "looking out for" only "number 1" — for ourselves — God commands us to look out for those deserving of our goodness — whether that goodness is help, aid, praise, love, affection, attention, or affirmation. We should act decisively and give these deserving people what they need. We are to be a people, as Paul tells us, saved by Jesus and "eager to do good deeds" (Titus 2:14).

My Prayer...
Father, forgive me for my selfishness. I so often notice only my needs or what I deserve. You have placed so many good and deserving people in my life who have blessed me. I ask you, Holy Spirit, to open my heart to see those around me who need my goodness as a blessing. Give me the courage to act in ways that glorify the Father and reflect the goodness of Jesus, in whose name I pray. Amen.

Verse of the Day
for Thursday, May 18th, 2023

Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed; to turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!
-- Isaiah 10:1-2

Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Absolute power corrupts completely by allowing us to have what we shouldn't, enabling us to forget where we came from, and leading us to ignore the cries of the oppressed. Absolute power corrupts because only God can handle full power and control! Our desire to have it is like Adam and Eve's sin- the lust to be God. True power, acceptable to the One with true absolute power, is used to bless the broken, lift the unfortunate, forgive the guilty, and assist the powerless. How do we know? God does those kinds of things!

My Prayer...
Almighty and incomparable God, I don't want to spend my time positioning myself to have power over others. Please give me the grace, the ability, and the opportunity to bless others — not so I will feel superior or essential, but so that they will be blessed and you will be honored and praised. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Verse of the Day
for Friday, May 19th, 2023

For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.
-- 1 Thessalonians 1:8

Thoughts on Today's Verse...
What kind of reputation does your church have? What is your dream for the congregation you attend? What's the mission of your small group, life group, or house church? So many of us have such short-sighted goals for our congregations and groups. The church at Thessalonica was only a few months old, and the believers' reputation for sharing their faith had become known throughout the Roman Empire. Now that's the kind of reputation I want the congregation and groups I work with to have! How about you?

My Prayer...
O Lord God Almighty, please fill our congregation and groups with the power of your Holy Spirit so that with sensitivity and courage, we may share the good news of your grace in Jesus Christ. Please be with our missionaries, ministers, and members so that we may display and declare the Gospel of salvation to our friends, neighbors, and people everywhere. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
