According to the Wall St. Journal, Tegucigalpa, Honduras has announced that they will be establishing diplomatic relations with Communist China and severing ties with Taiwan. Given the debacle on our Southern Border under the current shithead-in-chief, it won't take Beijing long to take military and economic advantage of another foothold in the West.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/WP-WSJ-0000721727?mod=djemalertNEWSA very small number of nations remain that still have diplomatic ties to Taiwan...
When the last one rescinds its stance, Taiwan will be reclaimed...

It was less about terminating relations with Taiwan as giving China another toehold on our unprotected doorstep.

I’m referring to the term ‘reclaiming’.
After all, Taiwan has never been part of communist China, so how could the communist RE-claim it?
It’s all in the semantics.

Taiwan has always been a part of communist China...
This is due to the policy laid down by the US and the West after the Chinese civil war...
Taiwan was recognized as an inseparable part of China and the Kuomintang as the legitimate government... With Communist China being denied recognition for decades...
When the US and other nations chose to recognize the CCP as the legitimate government of China it was too late to claim Taiwan was a separate nation...
You can claim semantics, but legal precedence is in China's side...

Not to worry... I've been told by numerous Americans on both sides of the aisle that NATO expanding towards Russia isn't a threat towards Russia... Try to view China's (less militarily aggressive) expansion towards America in the same light...

I stand corrected.🧐
I guess that report I did back in 10th grade (1973) didn’t stick with me.
It could also have been some of those beers I’ve enjoyed since then.

That would have been a great time for such a report.. Nixon is still greatly respected in China...
