▪️National Defense
▪️Foreign Affairs
▪️Establish Laws
▪️Financial Infrastructure

Anything beyond that is overreach.

Pretty much as defined by the Founders. Amazing how a bunch of politicians in D.C. elected by we the people could screw the country up so bad. Can't balance the budget of one department. As inept as they are they beleive they can spend our money better than they can.

National defense, Assuring that everybody has a right to health care, Providing funds for repairing/replacing infrastructure. Enacting laws that the people (through their duly elected officials) see as important or needed. Interacting with other countries thru foreign affairs. Providing the system for educating our children, helping those who are disabled find hope and dignity. Maintaining a stable economy thru regulation when needed. A strong currency (maybe a return to a gold backed dollar)

You’re correct about National defense. Healthcare is not a right. You have no right to someone else’s labor. Government interference in a free economy is usually a disaster. Local governments should be more responsive to their constituents than D.C.. the department of education should be disbanded. Regulation generally deters the economy. At least you got one correct.
