Jesus was a Jew when he came lived with us. The Holy Spirit had the Virgin Mary whom Jesus was incarnated to life. Mary was the was the Virgin Mother chosen by God to carry the Baby Jesus until he grow up with the help of her Spouse Saint Joseph. Both Mary and Joseph were descendants of King David.

Mother Mary suffered until the life of Jesus was taken away on the cross.
Jesus represents the Holy Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 1:1-17
1 The family tree of Jesus Christ, David's son, Abraham's son:
2 Abraham had Isaac, Isaac had Jacob, Jacob had Judah and his brothers,
3 Judah had Perez and Zerah (the mother was Tamar), Perez had Hezron, Hezron had Aram,
4 Aram had Amminadab, Amminadab had Nahshon, Nahshon had Salmon,
5 Salmon had Boaz (his mother was Rahab), Boaz had Obed (Ruth was the mother), Obed had Jesse,
6 Jesse had David, and David became king. David had Solomon (Uriah's wife was the mother),
7 Solomon had Rehoboam, Rehoboam had Abijah, Abijah had Asa,
8 Asa had Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat had Joram, Joram had Uzziah,
9 Uzziah had Jotham, Jotham had Ahaz, Ahaz had Hezekiah,
10 Hezekiah had Manasseh, Manasseh had Amon, Amon had Josiah,
11 Josiah had Jehoiachin and his brothers, and then the people were taken into the Babylonian exile.
12 When the Babylonian exile ended, Jehoiachin had Shealtiel, Shealtiel had Zerubbabel,
13 Zerubbabel had Abiud, Abiud had Eliakim, Eliakim had Azor,
14 Azor had Zadok, Zadok had Achim, Achim had Eliud,
15 Eliud had Eleazar, Eleazar had Matthan, Matthan had Jacob,
16 Jacob had Joseph, Mary's husband, the Mary who gave birth to Jesus, the Jesus who was called Christ.
17 There were fourteen generations from Abraham to David, another fourteen from David to the Babylonian exile, and yet another fourteen from the Babylonian exile to Christ. The Birth of Jesus.

Here the Holy Trinity of One God.
John 1:
The Word Became Flesh

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. 8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.

9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 14:
Jesus Comforts His Disciples

14 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going."

Jesus the Way to the Father
5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”
9 Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. 11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves.

12. Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and the
will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit
15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”

22 Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, “But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?”

23 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

25 “All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

28 “You heard me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. 29 I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe. 30 I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold over me, 31 but he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me.

You've preached that sermon once too often. Yeshua/Jesus was NOT a Jew! You've been mislead.

"Jesus was an Israelite. He was a direct descendant of Levi through Aaron.1 Levi was a son of Jacob. Jacob was named Israel by God.2 Jesus was also a direct descendant of Judah through David. Judah was also a son of Jacob.3 Jacob’s sons were the first Israelites. Jesus was specifically an Israelite because he was a direct descendant of two of the sons of Jacob/Israel.4

Why then, does everyone say that Jesus was a Jew? Most people think that Jesus was a Jew, but Jesus was an Israelite, not a Jew. Israelites were the ones who were called the chosen people of God.5 Edomites, and their descendants, now called Jews, are not the chosen people. The fact that modern day Jews want us to think they are descended from Israelites is one of the greatest intentional lies, or misunderstandings, in all of history. Jesus was an Israelite.

It would be virtually impossible to find a book written about Jesus that doesn’t describe him as a Jew. Are they all calling him a Jew because they think he was a Jew by religion? Are they all calling him a Jew because they think he was a Jew by ancestry? A person can be a Jew by religion while not being a Jew by ancestry, and a person can be a Jew by ancestry while not being a Jew by religion. Just what are the facts concerning the religion and ancestry of Jesus?

First, was Jesus a Jew as far as his religion was concerned? No, his religion was Hebrewism; or, as we now call it, the Religion of the Old Testament. That religion was the religion of the Hebrews and the Israelites, and was based on the Law of Moses and the teachings of the prophets. Stephen S. Wise, a former chief rabbi of the United States, said:

“The return from Babylon [following the Captivity, about 538 B.C.], and the adoption of the Babylonian Talmud, marks the end of Hebrewism, and the beginning of Judaism.”6

Jesus criticized the Jews, or Pharisees, for establishing Judaism which is based on the Talmud,7 and which at the time of Jesus was still called the Tradition of the Elders.8

When the people returned from Babylon, about 538 B.C., after the Babylonian Captivity, they brought back a different religion than the one practiced just fifty years earlier. The new religion was the Tradition of the Elders (or Judaism), and that religion was based on the teachings of the rabbis rather than the laws of God.

“Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying, Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. But he answered and said unto them,
"Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?”9

Wow!! Firstly, I'm shocked that this topic has gotten so much traction.. because it's been mostly dead, as far as responses for most of a couple weeks!.. All the sudden revived to Insult every Jew on the planet regarding Jesus Christ and his origins.. Being a Jew.. I find most of what Ginny has said regarding Jews/Isrealites .. kind of offensive, it's like she's reading from entirely different bible/torah. Although, as a "tongue in cheek" aside, Some of us Jews would really like to know what exactly we were chosen For??? Was it persecution, was it being the slaves of the Pharaoh's, was it being mass murdered in Nazi Germany?? Was it all the Anti Semite Bullshit being displayed???

Which brings me to my next point.. This topic, like so many others here on OPP has morphed from it's original question into something akin to the Big Green Monster of Fenway Park.. as in WAYYY Out in Left field!!.. Color me shocked!.. Kinda.. NOT..

Ginny, with humility of heart, Jesus came from Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Juda, the 4th son of Jacob, and down the line till Jesus was born to the Virgin Mother Mary. Please I will never change my position on this. Please open the down load. It was Juda who was there, next to Jacob. He was also Israelite, but the closest descendant where he came from was Juda, the 4th son of Jacob. Levi was the 3rd son, and was assigned as the Priest.

Please click the download, and click twice to enlarge the prints, and generation of Jesus will all come out till he was born to Mary. And Joseph was assigned by the Holy Spirit to raise Jesus with mother Mary, descendant of King Solomon. Check the down loaded picture where descendants from the beginning to end were presented. Radiance! Thank you for posting the Linage of Jesus Christ!..

It's funny, there are Jews out there that do Not believe that Christ is the Messiah.. there are a Lot of sects of Judaism that Believe he is the Messiah..

There are Christians that don't know how to count! 1rst coming-He was Born 2nd Coming, He rose from Lazaras's tomb, so His 3rd coming hasn't come yet!..

Jesus WAS a Jew.. as in his birth, but his physical body is gone, which was Jew..
There is one line that is kinda sad, because I was always under the impression that Jesus KNEW why he was put on the cross.. But his question to His and OUR Father was "Why Has thou forsaken me?

Also, Those that have worshipped a Picture of Jesus Christ as a Blond haired Blue eyed white man, need to go back to his birth place and take a lookie see on what the skin tone of desert dwellers there were.. I'm Pretty sure he was Dark Skinned, Dark haired, & Dark Eyes!!

That was one of the things that GOD did when he placed us on this planet.. He chose skin pigmintation based on what part of the world and equator he put people in.. Just something I've read numerous times from numerous sources on this subject...Again, raised in Both faiths..

Bless your heart Larai! You have a good mind and heart! God is great! Jesus was made human as God's way of showing us how to live, made Jesus as the ultimate sacrifice for the atonement of our sins.

Sometimes I sin, and makes me guilty. When I think about it, I cry. And now, I really must be humble, down to earth. But when others trample my rights, I get upset. When this country is so messed up by Biden, I get upset. When other peoples' rights are trampled. I get upset. That is where I sin, and want to defend the oppressed, using the wrong words.

But we must always keep Jesus. This country was born of the Judeo-Christian principles. Jesus blessed this country. We must be grateful!

Yes Jesus/Yahshua was of the tribe of Judah; but the term "Jew" has many meanings.
There are those that claim to be Jew/Jewish but are not of that blood line.
Be aware of that.
By their fruit they should be known.
Do you remember what Jesus had to say about the Pharisees?
He called them a den of vipers.

I am much aware of that. Thank you. There were those who claimed Jews but they were converts to Judaism not of blood line. E.g. The Khazars. They are all over the world, US and in Europe.

All the names on the download are those of Israelites. So where does it connect with the Jews? And which sect of Jews are you referring to? Esau's descendants, the Scribes & Pharisees, or the Khazarians?

Where the Bible explains that "you will know them by their fruit" is a pretty condemning statement. According to what you're preaching, Jesus was a hypocrite - supposedly being a Jew himself, he criticizes the Jews for transgressing the laws of God.

The Jews, themselves, tell Jesus that they have never been in bondage (John 8:33) - so how could they be the recipents of the land of Israel? They weren't chased out of Egypt by Pharaoh and his men. They didn't experience the parting of the Red Sea. They didn't receive the land of Israel from God. So they cannot be the "chosen" of God!

Don't forget that it was the Jews who called for Jesus to be crucified.

Here are the following answers Ginny, why Juda was chosen!
Israelites. came from Jacob, the father of the 14 Tribes. But the closest ancestor where Jesus came from was Juda. In other words the rest have one step further . Why did God choose Juda to where the generation of Jesus came from?

Here are the very reasons why God chose Juda. Should have been Joseph. But please read this why Jacob trusted Juda on his promise to take back Benjamin when they were in Egypt to buy grain due to famine, or he'll take all responsibility if something happens.

I believe this is the final decision why Juda was chosen to carry the line of Jesus.
2. MARK JUDAH’S PLEDGE OF SAFETY.

In Genesis 42, Jacob sends his sons to Egypt to seek food during the famine. Joseph recognizes them, and sends them home with food, but keeps Simeon until they return with Benjamin, his full brother , the only other son of Rachel. Jacob, having already lost one of his favorite sons, does not want Benjamin to go. But Judah steps forward, and now there’s a contrast with Reuben, and this time Judah is the positive side.

In Genesis 42:37, Reuben asks Jacob to send Benjamin and says, “Kill my two sons if I do not bring him back to you.” That’s a terrible idea! If a son is lost, then kill two grandsons? No, Jacob says, I will not trust you with my son.

But, then, in Genesis 43:8–9, Judah tries another approach.
“Judah said to Israel his father, ‘Send the boy with me, and we will arise and go, that we may live and not die, both we and you and also our little ones. 9. I will be a pledge of his safety. From my hand you shall require him. If I do not bring him back to you and set him before you, then let me bear the blame forever.’”

Reuben’s idea was horrible. Juda is honorable. “I will be a pledge of his safety.” “I will bear the blame for him.” (Which might remind us of righteous Rebecca’s assuring words to her son Jacob in Genesis 27:13, “Let your curse be on me, my son.” ,

Please don't complicate Jesus with the Pharisees.
Pharisees are the opposite of Jesus. They did not come from Juda.
Pharisees origin.

Jesus recognized the authority of the Pharisees as religious leaders and experts in the Law. But He also warned that some of these leaders didn’t practice what they preached. Pride had corrupted their lives. Jesus, on the other hand, was full of integrity. He didn’t just talk a good game; Jesus lived out His teachings.

The Pharisees (Hebrew: Perushim) emerged as a distinct group shortly after the Maccabean revolt, about 165–160 bce; they were, it is generally believed, spiritual descendants of the Hasidean.

What was the sin of the Pharisees?
They were full of greed and self-indulgence. They exhibited themselves as righteous on account of being scrupulous keepers of the law but were, in fact, not righteous: their mask of righteousness hid a secret inner world of ungodly thoughts and feelings. They were full of wickedness.

Jesus called them Hypocrites.
