I read your the first part of your rebuttal and stopped. You suggest the original post is invalid because he said it was owned by a liberal - and it is actually owned by a couple. The problem is he said it was owned by a "lefty couple" - did you learn this trick from NBC - alter what a person says and then prove the statement you allege them to have made to be inaccurate?

If you had read the rest, Dave, it answered that part about their politics. Had you read a little further, the very next sentence, in fact, the insult would have been unnecessary. Maybe a simple trick like reading the whole piece, which I learned in school, might help you from making a fool of yourself. You know what "assume" means, right? Dig a little deeper and with an open mind.

Wow...read this one! Then check out the suggested web sites.

Many of the emails that I have sent or forwarded that had any anti Obama in it were negated by Snopes. I thought that was odd. Check this out.

Shades of Krystalnacht

Snopes, Soros and the Supreme Court's Kagan.We-l-l-l-l now, I guess the time has come to check out Snopes! Ya' don't suppose it might not be a good time to take a second look at some of the stuff that got kicked in the ditch by Snopes, do ya'?

We've known that it was owned by a lefty couple but hadn't known it to be financed by Soros!

Snopes is heavily financed by George Soros, a big time supporter of Obama! In our Search for the truth department, we find what I have suspected on many occasions.

I went to Snopes to check something about the dockets of the new Supreme Court Justice. Elena Kagan, who Obama appointed, and Snopes said the email was false and there were no such dockets. So I Googled the Supreme Court, typed in Obama-Kagan, and guess what? Yep, you got it; Snopes Lied! Everyone of those dockets are there.

So Here is what I wrote to Snopes:
Referencing the article about Elana Kagan and Barak Obama dockets:
The information you have posted stating that there were no such cases as claimed and the examples you gave are blatantly false. I went directly to the Supreme Courts website, typed in Obama Kagan and immediately came up with all of the dockets that the article made reference to. I have long suspected that you really slant things but this was really shocking. Thank You. I hope you will be much more truthful in the future, but I doubt it.

That being said, Ill bet you didn't know this.

Kagan was representing Obama in all the petitions to prove his citizenship. Now she may help rule on them. Folks, this is really ugly.
Chicago Politics and the beat goes on and on and on. Once again the US Senate sold us out!

Now we know why Obama nominated Elana Kagan for the Supreme Court. Pull up the Supreme Courts website, go to the docket and search for Obama. She was the Solicitor General for all the suits against him filed with the Supreme Court to show proof of natural born citizenship. He owed her big time. All of the requests were denied of course. They were never heard. It just keeps getting deeper and deeper, doesn't it? The American people mean nothing any longer.
It's all about payback time for those who compromised themselves to elect someone who really has no true right to even be there.

Here are some websites of the Supreme Court Docket: You can look up some of these hearings and guess what?

Elana Kagan is the attorney representing Obama!

If you are not interested in justice or in truth, simply delete.
However, if you hold sacred the freedoms granted to you by the U.S. Constitution, by all means, PASS it ON!
There truly is tyranny afoot."

Knock your self out whirling dervishes, and check out the cites and respond, except that is muckitUp, LuLu, and rumitoady/CHE, you're not invited.
Herewith an e-mail I received from a friend this d... (show quote)

I don't think Soros is a "big time supporter of" obummer. I think Soros is the "employer" of obummer. Soros calls the shots and obummer "dictates" to the masses.

Obummer and Kagan go back a long way:

Rumi, you disappoint me. If disbelieving Obummer and the Progs is your definition of an untruth please count me in as an opposite believer. One cannot believe ANYTHING emanating from Obuttholes mouth. He is a narcissistic, pathological liar with no redeeming values. Case closed.

Old gringo, thought we had reached something of a detente and no more need for you to insult me. Oh, well. My point has nothing to do with believing "Obummer and the Progs"; my pooint is about getting facts straight and not just passing on rumors and lies to fit a political agenda.

Snopes.com exposed the lie of the Soros connection and that the couple who owned that site were "lefties." Urbanlegend made its own investigation and came up with the same conclusions. Pick the factchecker of your choice and see if this story about Soros is true. Or are you with some others and think all factchecking sites are under socialist control, which is convenient in maintaining your beliefs.

When I see such an obvious mis-statement I save the time of going over the rest. Actually, I do not find Snopes terribly biased - do think they are somewhat selective in what they research and/or publish - but think the entire post and allegations are unfounded - but also find your attempt to dispute them more than a hair faulty.

But there was no mis-statement; it is called in-depth, giving the bigger picture.
I am not trying to refute snopes.com: where did you get that idea? Or are you saying looking to provide the truth about this thread by CH is a "hair faulty"? Syntactically challenging sentence you wrote.

Dave usually is mixed up in his replies . Don't know if it's a grammar thing or what .

The fact remains , that morons like Old Gringo jump in , brains put up on shelf , like most Tea Party Alleged Patriots , he lands directly on his face , because the original claim is plainly refuted and shot down .
never ones to be challenged with FACTS , the usual reply is to call you "lefty" , "progs " , " libtards" , typical infantile whining and tantrum like behavior .

I agree that the posting is an unfair depiction of Snopes. I did not suggest you were trying to refute snopes - you were trying to refute the poster and in doing so quoted him as saying something he didn't - and that is my point.

I do enjoy folks who sling names while critizing others for name calling - and all the while suggesting personal superiority - folks like that have my sympathy - must have a real self image problem and try to compensate by trying to bring other down to their level - and that's why I will not respond to him directly.

Have we come up with any sites that are reliable then to both sides or are they all biased in one form or another.

Urban Legends is another of those things you talk about. I bet that you don't know that Fact Check.org is about as far left as I think Snopes is. How about you telling me who financed the foundation of Think Progress and Media Matters and still owns them and calls the shots. Today I read something from Media Matters for the first time in over 5 years and was amazed that they weren't any different than back then. Of course, you and Fact Check do know what the main purpose in the development of Stink Prog and Media Matters was, and is.

Oldroy, you should know better than to talk to hemeroid. Nothing good ever comes out of that pain in the arse.

As far as I could see this thread turned into an insult fest right after it began. The trolls came out of the woodwork to jump to the defense of their hero Obama. When I refer to the trolls, you know who you are and go ahead and insult me because I really could care less what you say or think.

Rumi you misinterpreted what I said. I didn't insult you, I stated you disappointed me. And I reiterate that. You are not fully informed about the subject matter.

For a different news source, and I feel more reliable, try Googleing the info you seek to disseminate. You just may get a different perspective. At the very least, it will be closer to the truth and accurate, Just MHO.

Bias is nothing more than an opinion - and people should be able to discuss different opinions without all of attempts to diminish others with digusting names - as a conservative, I realize that those with similar opinions to mine can be just as guilty as those from the left - but I do not involve myself with either when that is the extent of the discussion.

Crazyhorse: I've always known that sites like snopes and others have always had a hidden agenda - they are only "hobby sites" with no regulation! What we need in America is some type of Truth in accurate speech laws which seek only the truth and not half-truths. Snopes has been caught many times in a misrep! Hell the internet is usually on 60% correct in most issues! Agenda now rules in America - we must proscute these agendas but how do you control a Tort that is already out of control? Everything including the Supreme Court is now political!
