Duties assigned to each Branch.

I found it, Bob Goodlatte. July 14, 2014
In a letter written from Paris on September 6, 1789, on the topic of “the Earth belongs in usufruct to the living” and sent to James Madison, Thomas Jefferson advocated limiting debt to that which can be repaid within 19 years. He said, “It would furnish matter for a fine preamble to our law for appropriating the public revenue; and it will exclude, at the threshold of out new government the contagious and ruinous errors of this quarter of the globe (Europe), which have armed despots with means not sanctioned by nature for binding in chains their fellow-men.”
This next sentence is what I want to call your attention to, “We have already given, in example, one effectual check to the Dog of War, by transferring the power of letting him loose from the Executive to the Legislative body, (in other words) from those who are to spend to those who are to pay.”
Congress: Orders, Resolves, Votes, and Raises Revenue. All Executive Power reside in a President.
The Founding Fathers wanted to create one entire entity so Congress is the Brain and the President is the Body. The Body does what it is ordered to do with the resources it is given. And the Federal Teat is part of the Body so the President should be a girl.
Sincerely, Rick Mondale

Each Branch of Government MUST ferociously protect the Duties assigned it. Where we are failing today is two Branches have seen fit to usurp the powers (Duties) of the Legislature and they are NOT protecting those responsibilities that are assigned to them.

We have defined the problem, many times. Now lets fix it. Vote the incumbents out, and then vote term limits in.

While I agree with the sentiment, do you honestly think the Congress will vote to limit their time to stay in power?

Honestly, no, but they will after we forcibly remove the one's that vote no, or "present". We've come to the elimination fix again.

Sorry for the delay in reply. I am just learning my way around this website. Who would enforce the Separation of Powers is the Supreme Court. They require a lawyer that is accustomed to arguing cases at the highest level, and they need standing and $300. All Congressmen have standing. Bob Goodlatte could do this today, but he wont. He wants his Chairmanship. You should call your Congressman. I believe that there should be standing for a citizen asking the Court to make Our Government conform to the Constitution. The Congress Raises Revenue and then splits it up and takes it home. In exchange for letting them do that they let the President bring his agenda to be implemented during the first hundred days. The Founders defined a tyrant as, "an autocrat that can set and then implement the agenda."
