I hope so. I attended a Herman Cain rally and was really impressed. I wish he had stayed in the race. It pains me to say this but a black conservative may be the only way to get a conservative in the White House. That's not a racist comment but if we don't get a lot of the black vote the Republicans don't stand a chance.
Blacks are only 13% of the US population. Blacks of voting age are only about 10% tops. Obama was elected by a bunch of incredibly stupid white people. If you look at the popular vote, he didn't win by much, even though he carried the electoral college. Only 60 odd million people voted for either candidate. Considering there are 80 million gun owners in this country, that means that around 20,000,000 of them are probably too stupid or irresponsible to own a gun, since by not voting or voting for Obama, they have shown their willingness to shoot themselves and everyone else in the foot.

Very good point. We need a good candidate to back. Our job must be to get the uniformed informed and those who don't vote to get out and vote.

The majority of those REALLY STUPID WHITE PEOPLE are the millennials (18-24 yr olds). Those darn fools voted in droves for the half-witted rhetoric that came spiting out of O'crappo's mouth. They knew little to nothing about government, congress or any other candidates - they just swallowed his tripe as though it were gospel. I'm sorry, but I hope they graduate with tons of debt, and no jobs for them. That's not nice because others suffer, but those half-wits are the reason everyone is suffering now and it will probably get worse. YES, their stupidity makes me angry.

It was during the Vietnam years when the voting age was lowered to 18, as was the age to buy beer. The reasoning was the fact that so many 18 year olds were being drafted and sent into combat. The drinking age has been raised back to 21. I think that the voting age, quite frankly, should be raised to 25. I was a typical 18 year old know it all when I went to college. I dropped out after a year and enlisted. When I returned to college I was astounded at how fucking stupid the students were who were thinking and acting exactly like I did two years earlier. Ain't it amazing how a stint in the military, or the real world as in paying your own bills, will change your outlook?
By the way, I would make an exception to 25 years old to vote if the voters are active duty or former military personnel.

Never in the military, just BLESSED to be an observant person - hated the VietNam protestors. Boy, you are SOOO right the voting age should have been raised with the drinking. The majority at 18 live at home and think it's so easy. I worked full time & part time to support my kids and they thought I made it look so easy they 'had NO idea."

I think we should adopt a policy where everyone physically able should do two years in the service in some branch or the Guard. One of the biggest problems I see today is lack of discipline. A good drill sergeant would solve that problem. I never served but my dad is USAF retired. So I had my own personal drill sergeant.
