proud american, Thank you for fixing it. My favorite Christmas song is "O Holy Night" because it has the real Christmas story, not the commercialized version that's so popular with the Retail Establishment.

The "X" is simply a contraction for "ΟΟΞΉΟΟΞΏΟ", Greek for Christ.

When is it ok to start listening to Christmas music? Before, during or after Thenksgiving? When is it ok to start buying Xmas decorations?... Personally I don't celebrate Xmas, but I LOVE Christmas music...My fave is 'Have yourself a Merry little Xmas'..
https://youtu.be/pvA7-EjaSPI32 years ago, when my oldest girl was 8 and my #2 was 5, I started putting my foot down about Christmas decorations, etc, insisting we wait until the day after Thanksgiving. Then I started taking it further. They could not play Christmas music until after Turkey Day. Then I put the kabosh on Rudolf, the Grinch, and other cartoons until after. By the time Jamie turned ten, I howled with outrage and would grab the remote control and turn off the TV if a Christmas commercial came on. Both girls, and eventually their little sister, started trying to sneak cassette tapes into their rooms, or watch Christmas movies at friends houses....anything to get around my edict. And, of course, I went to great lengths to catch them at it, when I could. It became a Christmas tradition in our family for the past three decades, and we all had a LOT of fun with it!
This year my two oldest turned 40 and 37, and has blessed me with 7 grandkids, and my youngest is overseas serving as a missionary. I declared publicly and loudly to my kids and grandkids that they were all desrespectfull and unappreciative, and I would no longer waste my valuable time trying to teach them the proper Thanksgiving/Christmas etiquette......and I put up our tree and loaded it down with wrapped Presents on the 15th! I got a standing ovation from all.
Traditions can be serious or silly. The important thing is for everyone to have fun and love one another.
So, my very dear PR, my advice is to WAIT until AFTER Thanksgiving.......or not! Either way, do it with joy and fun.
