She could be a real contender in 24. She harkens back to rational democrats of the 60’s. She will have the mainstream democrats come to her as well as independents.
I said that during the democrat primaries (where she was eliminated) that Republicans need to be very wary of her.
IMHO, she was the best and brightest of the 2020 Democrat candidates for president. She was, however, too ethical for that degraded party, so Hillary Clinton dismissed her by calling her a "Russian plant (Russia, Russia, Russia).
Tulsi Gabbard Was Born on Tutuila, American Samoa’s largest island, in 1981. Her father was Catholic, her mother Hindu, and in an online biography, she described herself as “interfaith”, saying some of her earliest memories were from the “fragrant aromas of both Christian and Hindu celebrations." She was the first Samoan-American member of the US Congress, and also identified herself as the first Hindu member of Congress.
Tulsi was elected to the Hawai‘i State Legislature in 2002 when she was just 21 years old, becoming the youngest person ever elected in that state. Tulsi was later the first female combat veteran to ever run for president and the first female combat veteran ever elected to the US Congress, along with Tammy Duckworth of Illinois. She served two tours of duty in the Middle East, and she continues her service as a Major in the US Army National Guard.
Tulsi’s 2005 deployment was a 12-month tour at Logistical Support Area Anaconda in Iraq, where she served in a field medical unit as a specialist with a 29th Support Battalion medical company. She was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal at the end of this tour.
Tulsi then graduated from the Accelerated Officer Candidate School at the Alabama Military Academy, where she was the first woman to finish as the distinguished honor graduate in the Academy’s 50-year history. Tulsi was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant and in her 2nd tour, again assigned to the 29th Brigade Special Troops Battalion of the Hawaiʻi Army National Guard - this time to serve as the Military Police Platoon Leader.
Tulsi Gabbard served in U.S. Congress for eight years as the U.S. representative for Hawaii's 2nd congressional district from 2013 to 2021, serving on the Foreign Affairs, Armed Services, and Homeland Security Committees, where she dealt with highly sensitive national security issues.
She declined to vote to impeach Donald Trump on both counts during his first trial in December 2019, instead registering herself as "present."
