fullspinzoo, The mob that stormed the Capitol certainly was armed. They were armed with spears, bear repellant flagpoles, and other weapons. Guns were available if the need became urgent. The over 100 Capitol police that were injured certainly didn't think the mob was unarmed. Ask the policewoman that testified in front of the Jan. 6th Committee about being in combat with the " protesters" for hours. Either did the policeman that died of his injuries a day or two later.
There is overwhelming evidence of a planned, attack on the Capitol building. All you need to do is watch the videos that were taken that day, or ask any of the Congressmen and women that felt their lives were being threatened. Ask the Vice President or the Speaker of the House if they were threatened with death.
I guess the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers were civil rights organizations protesting that Trumps civil rights were violated by not allowing him to remain POTUS, in spite of his losing the election.

Any fool should be able to see that all the information coming out of the Jan 6th committee has been massively edited, manipulated and choreographed to present a certain political narrative and therefore nothing the committee has to offer has any pertinence whatsoever.

I don't know when this cow will finally be milked dry by democrats, but there is video evidence that some demonstrators were admitted through the doors by the capitol police. There is also video of other demonstrators wrecking the place and fighting with police. There is information that the authorities had advance knowledge of potential civil unrest and chose to let it happen. Insurrection is a powerful term. It may be occuring in the streets of Tehran in case anyone wants to know what it looks like, but again, those protesters in Iran do not seem equipped to topple a government without direct assistance from organized sympathizers within the regime, something that may not be forthcoming. I can't say I saw anything close to an insurrection on January 6th. Yes, the business of government was interrupted, and the orderly transition of power was delayed, both serious transgressions. But the Republic was never really in danger, and those who say otherwise are trading in hysteria. There is much to learn about how the January 6th episode was conceived and perpetrated. The January 6th committee is far too partisan and procedurally compromised to render a fair assessment, and that was fully by design. Why more people can't see through that charade is troubling. Perhaps one day a transparent and unbiased determination will be learned, but until then, it has succeeded in keeping us divided.

When you are desperate, you hang on to what little you GOT. The Left is grasping at straws. Just hope and pray for a somewhat legit election come November 8th. When you have OPPers telling you explicitly they were better off two years ago with Biden, tells you how ludicrous and out of touch these people are. I won't waste my time with the Candadian transplant (who doesn't even get a vote) or others who think we were better off with Biden than Trump starting two years ago. The negatives have been listed over and over again. We all know this is bunk.
