Much more likely they would shake your hand and welcome you.

The History of the Democrat Party and the KKK---SomdNews.com
https://www.condnews.com>independent>opinion...

From the article:
The KKK had some requirements to join the organization.
You must hate Republicans
You must hate everyone who is non-white.
You must hate Jews.
You must hate Roman Catholics
And most of all you must be a Democrat.

Democrats are the Party of the KKK--Medium
https://medium.com>les deplorables>democrats-are...

From the article:
After the Civil War, the Republicans elected 23 African Americans, (13 of whom were ex-slaves) to Congress. It took the Democrats 60 more years to elect an African American to Congress. In the South the Democrats held out until 1973 to elect an African American. In Texas the Republican Party was founded African Americans in 1876
In 1865 100% of Republicans voted to free the slaves by passing the 13th Amendment. while 77% of Democrats voted against the measure. Three years later 100% of Republicans voted to give African Americans the same civil rights as whites through the passage of the 14 Amendment, while 100% of Democrats voted against the measure. Two years later 100% of Republicans voted to guarantee the right to vote for African Americans with the passage of the 15th Amendment, again every single Democrat voted against the measure.
When the Democrats were unsuccessful in their efforts to block Republican legislation, they founded the KKK. In 1872 the Democrats admitted forming the organization as an effort to stop the spread of the Republican Party in the South.
As recently as 2010 the Senate's President Pro Temp, was former KKK Exalted Cyclops--Robert Byrd...the Democrat Senator from West Virginia. (as an aside, not from the article:) Robert Byrd was a recruiter for the KKK in his 20s-30s

At the start of the 20th Century, the Democrats took control of Congress and promptly repealed every single Republican passed civil rights laws-it wasn't until 1957 that a civil rights bill passed.
In the meantime, Democrats passed the Jim Crow laws, poll taxes and literacy tests to prevent African Americans from electing Republicans.
By the 1960s the Republicans along with 36% of Democrats passed the 1964 Civil Rights Act-64% of Democrats opposed the bill. Democrat Senator William Fullbright filibustered the bill for 83 days.

And just because the Democrat Party started/repeats incessantly the big lie about "switching" parties it is pure propaganda to cover for their past;

The Big Lie: Democrats and Republicans Switched Sides on Race
https://lindasuegrimes.substack.com>p>the-big-lie-democrats-and-republicans

When confronted with inconvenient history of their party regarding the issue of race, the American Democratic Party and it's sycophants insist that the Republicans and Democrats simply switched positions on race, after the Republicans had ushered in the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This ludicrous claim can easily be laid to rest with a few pertinent facts.

No, not more likely. While the rebellious southerners of old may have been conservative Democrats and KKKers that is olden history. The southern states that were Democratic are now Republican, the brand of conservatives in the US. You can claim they never switched sides but that would not make sense. The Republicans used to be the party of enforcing federal power and is now the party of states rights....the same argument made by the former KKKers.

Happy self-deception.

Let me see-you are trying to convince me that the very people who's families fraught and died against the KKK, all of a sudden decided to pick up their mantle and be the people of hate. Sorry, not buying it. The same people who's families started the KKK and raised their kids in that ideology are the KKK of today. If they are portraying themselves as something else, lets remember "that's the democrat way". It's still going on today, people changing their political registration so they can vote in Republican primaries. Maybe somebody convince you that I changed my ideology after my family fault for freedom and liberty for "all" mankind, but that's because you're too lazy or ignorant to reason through what they are telling you. IF it don't make sense, it's probably not true!!!

The South didn't "switch" to Republican, but gradually became Republican as they gave up their racist Democrat/Communist ways. If you consider how easily the useful idiots of the left eat-up the lies their ideological masters feed them...the fact that they would deny/ignore their own history/policies/agenda isn't surprising. Talk about delusion...this one takes lots of practice, but leftists have plenty of practice lying to themselves/others so refusing to look at their own historical past, (not the sanitized want they want to believe,) is no problem

Speaking of eating up ideological lies.....'switch' is the equivalent of 'became Republican'. That you think there is a distinction is sad.
