What you suggest means that they would be treated like "common people", and you know they wouldn't allow that! We have allowed the entitlement programs and freebees for so long now that it has become a culture. Those that study the laws and guidelines with scrutiny only to serve their own selfless purposes. They have received these freebees for so long they teach their kids how to use the system rather than learn to provide for themselves. Therefore they have absolutely no incentive to get an education, learn a work ethic, work for a living, take pride in anything except when they can receive more freebees.
Therefore, they make sure to vote for those who will provide and ensure the advancement of freebees to them, no matter the consequences.
Unemployment of those taking pride in themselves by working and providing for others is at all time highs while our president and congress continue to employ thousands more to provide these freebees. This practice is destroying our way of life in this country and must be stopped. Of course, there are the legitimate needs of help, and we should support those. However, there is so much abuse and fraud in the system that needs to be weeded out, shut down and those involved permanently eliminated for eligibility.
Government depts. has grown to the point they allow these abuses to justify their own jobs. We would not need all these Gov. people if so much abuse wasn't there.
We can only start by changing those making these stupid decisions on our dollars. There is no end to how stupid congress thinks the public is. They consider themselves so much smarter than you and I. We tell them what we want and they do just the opposite or find excuses. Really they are only following the demands of those who consider themselves "the elite" in congress in order to get appointed to committees and support for re-election.
We, the public, need to take action by cleaning house of those self servant idiots and restore the principles of our country.
I support the positions of both political parties we used to have. We have been infested with radicals promoting a divisive non-professional scheme to destroy our nation. At some point, before long we have to stop it.
Start by getting rid of this divisive, ego maniac Muslim we have as a President.

Yes, but all we hear is excuses and argument based on these dems philosophy. Reid is holding the Senate hostage to his never ending support of the White House.
Congress, as a whole, hasn't got the gumption to challenge and impeach the offenders.
All we hear from them is " we don't have all the facts yet". What more do they need, there is still no budget!

The only times we are safe is when they are doing NOTHING. Our freedoms are on the line every time they take a vote on anything, and it turns out bad every blessed time. The only times I am comfortable is when they are in gridlock, and I wish they would stay that way.

BTW: You know the definition of "compromise", don't you? It's when they take 2 possibly good ideas, mesh them together to produce one horrible law. A compromise is nothing but weasel material.

A compromise is when each side contributes something and gives up something. I've never known the democrats to give up anything they want. I've seen the pubbies give up far too much.
