Deuteronomy 22:5 "A woman shall not wear a man’s garment, nor shall a man put on a woman’s cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God."

Deuteronomy 22:5 deals with the issue of cross-dressing / transvestism (men dressing in women’s clothing and vice versa). God commands that a woman is not to wear that which pertains to a man and a man is not to wear that which pertains to a woman, for all that do so are an “abomination.” The Hebrew word translated “abomination” means "a disgusting thing, abominable, in the ethical sense of "wickedness."

This deceptive “cross-dressing” and transvestism is done in order to deceive oneself and others, to present oneself as something that he/she is not and can never be. This speaks to a woman changing her dress and appearance so as to appear to be a man and a man changing his dress and appearance so as to appear to be a woman - the definition of cross-dressing or transvestism.

The dynamic behind this is the leaving of that which is natural and taking upon oneself that which God’s Word calls unnatural (Romans 1:24-27). Paul tells the Corinthian church that the way a woman wears her hair is a reflection of God’s order, and therefore a woman who cuts her hair to appear as a man or a man who wears his hair long to appear as a woman brings shame to them (1st Corinthians 11:3-15). The motive and attitude of the heart is revealed in the choice to rebel in disobedience against God’s standard.

Whatever the prevailing custom or style of dress, men and women should wear gender-appropriate clothing, dressing decently and maintaining order (1 Corinthians 14:40). The Bible calls cross-dressing or transvestitism a free will choice to violate the order God has dictated for mankind to maintain, demonstrating disbelief and open rebellion against God's wisdom in giving us life as either male or female.

I believe it was his own ambition to run for the presidency that caused him to refuse to exercise his constitutional authority to return the electoral candidates slates to the state legislatures on January 6th... ignoring the potential harm he could and has inflicted upon this country in doing so.

Blind unfettered political ambition is a terrible thing.
