I've been doing that for as long as I can remember. I am expecting that soon every option including gender will have an "other" option box.
I am color blind and apethetic when it comes to most people. I really don't give a flying rats arse and I will treat everyone equally until they give me reason to do otherwise. Such as the trolls that find it entertaining to try to upset people. They may not be dirrectly attacking me but the "guardian" aspect of my nature makes me feel the need to get involved. I was the one in highschool that stepped in between the bullies and the kids they were picking on. I became a cop because I wanted to help people and I got out when it became blindingly apparent that helping people was no longer in the job description. I give everyone a chance. Whether they decide to take the chance to be a civil polite person or a rude abusive jerk, they had their chance and they are going to have to live with the reactions.

Probably in about the same boat that I am in. A while back a black guy called me a skin head racist. It took him three attempts and a lot of fast footwork to finally get to his feet after my girlfriend (who just happened to be a very dark skinned black woman) commenced to whoop the living tar out of him. I am not sure what made her madder. The jerk calling me a skinhead racist or the fact that his calling me that upset her children so badly that they were crying. I just happened to be their favorite person other than their momma.
Words don't only hurt the people you are aiming to offend they can also hurt others who aren't even part of the hate. Just like it hurt my ex's kids when that guy started spouting off his racist hate. Of course she made sure he understood the error of his words.
On a side note when was the last time you had any home made lumpia?

The other day I was with my wife and kids at the bird section at a Pet store. When I heard a little white boy around my daughters age, 7, say to his father. look daddly the birds are all bunched up in there nest. The dad starts laughing, and says, and i quote, like a bunch of f***ing Mexicans. My wife is Mexican
