The oil companies are in control, it goes on the market to reduce prices all over the world. The oil companies have no incentive to bring the prices down. They are the problem.

Then why release any oil ? That Strategic Reserve oil is precious. It is our last hope if the world turns to crap, and Joe is pissing it away, and can't control where it goes. That is insane. That oil is to keep our nation alive, it is not Joe's plaything.
Joe is running his great great big mouth and telling oil companies what they should be doing. WELL, he could tell them that oil stays HERE. That oil has to be refined before it is worth anything. Joe can only send it to American refineries. He is the President. He has that POWER. If he can shut down American Oil Production, he can say the oil stays here !
