As a Christian, I would use the term 'sad' for both of them. The difference in the flags being that one represents (to most people) an old and vile way of looking at people of color, one we rejected as a nation at great cost. Something from the uncivilized past, and thankfully gone.
The other flag represents (again, to most people) life choices that are physically harmful, spiritually immoral, and unnatural in concept and activity. It, unfortunately, is in the process of being normalized in our country.
Both are signs of a sick and demented culture sliding quickly towards it's death.
Sad.

They are just flags. I wouldn’t let something like that trivial trigger me. That being said, I do have a Confederate flag hanging in my man cave and a small decal on my truck window. No homo stuff around, so far.

The Confederate flag was about more than slavery since only about 10% of the people had slaves. There were some blacks who were also slave owners.
