At least 12 dead in another weekend of mass shootings across America

I'm just thinking out loud here:
Is it just me or does it seem like the number of mass shooting increases as the democrats keep pushing for gun control. It's uncanny how the timing of these mass shootings coincide with the narratives they are pushing.

Mass Shootings under the Last Five Presidents
Ronald Reagan: 1981-1989 (8 years) 11 mass shootings
Incidents with 8 or more deaths = 5
George H. W. Bush: 1989-1993 (4 years) 12 mass murders
Incidents with 8 or more deaths = 3
Bill Clinton: 1993-2001 (8 years) 23 mass murders
Incidents with 8 or more deaths = 4
George W. Bush: 2001-2009 (8 years) 20 mass murders
Incidents with 8 or more deaths = 5
Barrack H. Obama: 2009-2015 (in 7th year) 162 mass murders
Incidents with 8 or more deaths = 18

But Snopes disputed the reporting and changed the parameters defining mass shootings. Using their revised definition of mass shootings, Snopes determined that 31, not 162, mass shootings took place in the United States during the seven-year span from the start of President Obama’s first term through the end of 2015. Though this still has significantly more mass shootings taking place on Obama’s watch than any president who came before, it was not “vastly more”, which was the claim that Snopes ‘debunked.’

All I'm saying is "if it has long ears like a rabbit,
If it has a fuzzy round tail like a rabbit,
And if it hops around like a rabbit".
Then it's probably a rabbit.

The bottom line of all of this is that a vast majority of Americans including gun owners want universal background checks and support red flag laws and magazine capacity limits. And every time some nutter shoots up a school playground place of worship or concert with an AR-15 more jump on the bandwagon.

Your math needs work. Your small circle of looney tune acquaintances are not a majority. Every gun control proposal you mentioned is a non starter. The only way any of them would have any impact on gun violence is by luck.

You must remember that Clinton signed a bill that stopped the civilian purchase of semiautomatic rifles untill, I think it was 2005. Less massacres were inacted in that time period.

boy you got that wrong BIG TIME. No, hell no, the vast majority of people and especially gunners DO NOT SUPPORT universal background checks.. The only people that think universal background checks are great are the criminals. They' are laughing their asses off at that. I and a million other gun owners hate the red flag laws. All you're doing is repeating what the talking heads on TV say. Knock it off with the lies. Do your own research. Try thinking for yourself. Go in a gun blog and ask how many of them support background checks and red flag laws. Jeez, where in the hell do you people come from.

Where in the hell did you come up with that BS.????? Clinton signed a bill banning the purchase of what he called "assault weapons" not semiautomatics. dummy! educate yourself, learn the difference.

Less massacres were inacted in that time period ????? you didn't read my entire post did you? Obama had the most mass murders. Clinton had 23, Bush had 20 and Obama had 162.

Your statement is incorrect, but I will leave it to the student to determine how.

Peg tends to rely on an unreliable memory, I think, then just makes stuff up to fill in the blanks.

Look again at the information above again, please. Had Bush Sr. had a second term with the same results as his 4 years, he would have tied Clinton, but over all, mass shootings increased under Clinton and Obama. Also, not all semi automatics were banned, just so called "assault rifles"

"Ugly guns".

Same function as any semi-automatic rifle - just looks different.....

Clinton's 10 year AWB had no measurable effect in reducing gun crimes.
