If Roe v. Wade is overruled as seems certain probably half of the States will make abortion illegal. Women in those states who want an abortion will have to travel to other states. Travel and hotel costs (and lost wages) will be out of reach for many.
The "many" will be over represented by women of color so the proportion of children of color born will be higher than if all women, regardless of color, had access to less expensive abortion.
Many on the extreme right, who are antiabortion also fear the increasing numbers of people of color in our population. The repeal of Roe will result in the very thing they fear.
And if people of color continue to vote Democrat eventually the pro-abortion movement will have the votes necessary to legalize abortion by repealing thr bans that are expected to follow the repeal of Roe.

Then they might think twice about getting pregnant. In this day and age there really isn’t much of an excuse for it except not thinking.

Prevention could on the agenda next. It was illegal not that long ago.

Your argument is that abortion should be legalized and subsidized in order to keep the number of colored folks down???
Brutal...

That’s Sanger’s position too. Old man rick is just a pawn of planned parenthood. He doesn’t even know it.

Why do leftists think society should provide a "safe place" for someone to commit murder?
Polls show 75-80% of Americans favor legalized abortion, although many would impose some limitations. My point: are all these Americans "leftists"?

No just most of those in this poll.

Definitely they are not all leftists.
I am as far right as possible on every issue except abortion and the death penalty.
I think that it will be impossible to close the huge gap in opinion (zero abortion - wanton abortion) on the subject. I'm also exhausted from hearing the repeatative supporting arguments for both sides. Therefore, a pragmatic solution is in order. That solution may vary a bit from state to state. You can go to where you need to go get the service you can live with.
This reversal of Roe vs Wade (should it occur) will push the legality of abortion to the state level.
Each state legislature, democratically elected, will devise limitations in accordance with their voter's wishes.

There is some pretty solid funding being put together for that.
