Always whining and crying about freedom, and here we are with a small minority wanting to tell a woman what she can do.
And the unintended consequences? Texas will be dealing with 50,000 unwanted babies, welfare, health costs. And before you say adoption you cannot take a baby away from it's mother because she can't afford to care for herself let alone a baby she wasn't prepared to raise.
I posted this on another thread, but it bares repeating over and over and over again...
If you think denying a living unborn humanâs right to life is to be denied is based off Roe vs Wade, then you are basing it off of lies. Thatâs according to âJane Roeâ herself:
âGood morning. My name is Norma McCorvey. Iâm sorry to admit that Iâm the Jane Roe of Roe v. Wade. The affidavit submitted to the Supreme Court didnât happen the way I said it did, pure and simple. I lied! Sarah Weddington and Linda Coffey needed an extreme case to make their client look pitiable. Rape seemed to be the ticket. What made rape even worse? A gang rape! It all started out as a little lie, but my little lie grew and became more horrible with each telling. Not only did I lie, but I was lied to. I did not come to the Supreme Court on behalf of a class of women. I wasnât pursuing any legal remedy for my unwanted pregnancy. I did not go to the federal courts for relief. I met with Sarah Weddington to find out how I could obtain an abortionâŚ. Sarah and Linda were looking for somebody, anybody, to use to further their own agenda. I was their most willing dupe.
âSince all these lies succeeded in dismantling every stateâs protection of the unborn, I think itâs fair to say that the entire abortion industry is based on a lie.
âIn her biography The Story of Norma McCorvey â The Woman Who Became Jane Roe, she recalled her previous notion on the subject: âAbortion, to me, meant âgoing backâ to the condition of not being pregnant.â She believed, and was told, that the baby growing inside of her was âjust a piece of tissue.â This belief changed with McCorveyâs conversion to Christianity.
âLike McCorvey, many have held the erroneous belief that early pregnancy yielded nothing more than a lifeless mass of tissue with no human value.â
https://www.thefreelibrary.com/%22Jane+Roe%22+Tells+True+Story+Behind+Roe+v.+Wade+Norma+McCorvey+Says...-a055342471 There are more lies that formed the basis for the Roe be Wade verdict:
âLie #1: Jane Roe had been raped.
âThe truth: She wasnât raped⌠and she never had an abortion.
âLie #2: 60% of Americans wanted legalized abortion.
âThe truth: Abortion advocates told the media they had public opinion on their side. They didnât.
âLie #3: One million illegal abortions had taken place in the U.S.
âThe truth: The number of illegal abortions was a mere fraction of this.
âLie #4: 10,000 women died annually from illegal abortions.
âThe truth: The actual number was around 300 â even less the year before Roe.
âLie #5: Legal abortion would lead to safe abortion.
âThe truth: Women are still injured and killed by abortion.
âLie #6: The embryo/fetus/preborn are not human beings.
âThe truth: Biology and technology both show us that the preborn can be nothing other than human.
â[Dr. Bernard Nathanson was one of the main proponents of legalized abortion. He founded NARAL but later became pro-life.] Nathanson, after becoming pro-life, admitted that it was a strategic move to claim that preborn children are not humans.
âOne of our strategiesâŚ,â he said, âwas to deny what we knew to be true: that an abortion kills an existing human being. We denied that fact in an effort to mislead the American public and the courts of this land.â
âThanks to modern technology, we now have the opportunity to see inside the womb at every stage of development. Pro-choice Americans can no longer claim that preborn children are not human beings.
âIf it hadnât been for all of these lies, perhaps the United States could have found better ways to help women facing unplanned or high-risk pregnancies. Killing preborn children has not helped end rape or poverty. It hasnât helped women to receive equal treatment compared to men. All it has done is continue the lies that women are weak and incapable.â
