There is a new battery technology coming out that the military would be in line for that makes batteries significantly smaller and lighter.

...The heat signature would be eliminated compared to a hot diesel
...the noise would be way down
...Charging can happen with battery backup systems like used to charge phones...think big battery trucks that could quickly and silently charge tanks up that would have a generator.

and round and round and round it goes, where the electric charge comes from, nobody knows.

Any crew members in an electric tank who survive destruction of the battery by a round of depleted uranium would be in a gas chamber filled with toxic gases and dangerous chemicals such as Sulfuric Acid, inflammable hydrogen gas, Sodium nickel chloride, cobalt dioxide, cadmium, lead, among others.

Even without battle damage, batteries emit flammable hydrogen gas during charge and discharge cycles, so the crew would experience difficulties just driving to the battlefield. Might even be dead before they get there if they weren't wearing gas masks. If the crew was lucky and actually made it to the battlefield, with inflammable hydrogen gas floating around, they'd have to exercise extreme caution firing any of their guns.

On top of all that, a battlefield littered with blown out electric tanks would be an environmental waste land,
You'd need a HAZMAT suit just to collect the bodies of your fallen electric comrades.

Wanna lose a tank battle? Run one of those electric tanks up against an Abrams battle tank with its highly efficient multifuel turbine engine and that nasty M256A1 120 mm smoothbore main gun.

We simply do not have the technology to make this viable right now. Noise and heat signature reduction are desirable, but we don't know how much this would be in real life, and the logistics of charging trucks are a complet unknown right now.

Selective memory? EVs (cars) can have no perks like radios, heaters, A/C, etc. Yes the sound would be down, making them even easier to hear-a new noise. Cannons that need electricity can't use it. In effect it's like a battering ram and nothing else against hypersonic weapons. Sort of a cave man the US against a perfectly made for war soldier (Russia or China) that's what Brandon is doing for us. You also seemed to forget that those electric tanks still need fossil fuel.

Battery technology has come down to size and weight factor to the Amp Hours (AH) stored...my group 29 lithium batteries in the boat are rated at 120Ah and weigh 25 pounds, the lead they replaced were 110Ah and weighed 80 pounds. They hold a charge much longer and run at full output until they die. There are better batteries than that available.

The battery truck I talk about would simply be a matter of how many cells can be fit in whatever size you wanted that makes the best sense.
