Founded in Washington DC in 2005, Third Way is a leftist think tank that grew out of the nonprofit group Americans for Gun Safety (AGS), which was formed in 2000 with the goal of resetting the gun control movement and advancing gun safety laws. The majority of the think tank's funding comes from individuals with close ties to the banking industry and its board of trustees consists mostly of investment bankers. Third Way's work covers four broad policy areas: economics, national security, clean energy, and social policy & politics. The staff and board of directors are predominately democrats, as are its donors.
The issue in question is "The Study".
The problem with "The Study" is its premise.
The premise is purely political.
Divide the states by political stats rather than crime stats.
Over here are the "Trump states" - red,
and over there are the "Biden states" - blue.
What "The Study" is is another in a 6 year long list of attacks on president Trump.
The actual facts tell a very different story.
