My sister is a 30 year cancer survivor. Right now she is in remission. Every few years she will have a flare-up, but God must have work for her, (and you,) to do...so she,(and you,) are still here with us. Prayers for you both.

That's a good sign. Let her have her way for a while. I hope she is in good spirits and continues to be in order to battle this. Too many people feel as though they did something to deserve getting cancer and that is not the case. A positive mental outlook is so very important. And you have to also take care of yourself.

The oncologist wants her to heal up for 4 months then get re scanned. and they will decide what to do then. meantime she is taking pills I can't pronounce. Just have to wait it out and be patient while she gets back on her feet.

This is going to be a long process. You have to make sure you take good care of yourself as well and don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it. You won't be any good to your family if you make yourself sick from taking on too much.

So far our older daughters have been a big help. I don't have to cook just heat up premade meals. I'm keeping up with the house and seeing what a job it is. My escape is I'm re building the fence in the back yard

Hey, part of being a decent human being is the ability to agree to disagree an art we have misplaced in recent years but here on this forum, we seem to do it in grand fashion. No matter our POLITICAL views we always have been able to come together when one of us is having difficult times. This forum and the people in it are a type of family even wood and Kev we have all been here for quite a few years. When needed we give advice, suggestion, and most importantly prayer and encouragement. Most important we will all have you and your wife in our prayers and will be here when you need us

That kind of shows you what matters the most to people. Family, friends, personal and local affairs are far more important than what happens in D.C.
